Did the song suggested on this forum ever get sung at a game about Knockaert?

    He cheats, he dives
    He misses then he crys
    Knockaert, Knockaert!

Because I thought it was a great shout!

Brighton up to 13th. Who on here said they would be cannon fodder?

    Answer: Loads did.

GT's advice was never to look at the table until 10 games have been played. We have Arsenal and Chelsea still to play before we reach that point. In my view 15 points from the first 10 would be a great start.

Of course that was a slightly tongue in cheek observation......however GTs 10 games in comment was for a league with more teams in. 8 games is prob more appropriate now. Unless you are Crystal Palace in which case you are down already.....hopefully!!

How will it work? The number of games played will be different except at the turn of the year which will render it meaningless except then or if it's a points per game table. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Well we accused him of being a cry-baby before Britos clattered him. When he might well have cryed.

Actually he's an excellent footballer. A pity he's also an unreconstructed cheat too ...

Yeah I have to admit I do rate him fairly highly as a player. Was surprised he left Leicester when he did, did he want to leave or unwanted by them?

We are top of the made up league, sing we are top of the made up league.

    Prem 2 table 25 09 17.PNG
It was a weekend where the Prem 1 boys were school yard bullies. 7 games played, 7 games won.

And for those interested here is a very basic league from the results between Prem 2 teams only (will do a better one next time)

Very interesting. It shows how well Burnley are doing after having played 4 games against teams in the "other" league.

After 10 games we would have played 4 of the top 6 .....
......Or 7 of the top 10 (judging by last seasons table).

If we are still doing well after the Stoke game it's time to start getting excited and doing sex wees.

The new table's problem is with the discrepancy in the number of games played. Huddersfield six, Stoke and Leicester two. Where it would be more interesting is when the first half of the season's been completed and it should read twelve played for everyone barring the odd postponement.

A couple of other things from table 1. Huddersfield are probably in a false position yet having to play one of the big boys. Stoke have gained four points from their four big matches but only one from their two against us lot. Leicester however have been beaten four times by the big boys but have gained four points from their two matches against teams in our mini-league. Early days but that indicates a distinction between a 'flat-track bully' and a team motivated to do relatively rather well against the big teams.

Good to see us back where we belong at the top of the first table again!

Oddly enough we'll have all played 12 but for the first time I remember not every club once going by this season's fixture list .... Us and Brighton will have played twice with us having avoided Leicester while they avoid Chelsea .... and so it continues for other clubs too.

Yes. I hadn't noticed that although I'm already looking forward to a trip down to south coast Seagull land just before Christmas. Never seen it before either.

Is Palace's start some sort of record? It has to be surely? Has any team gone this long without a single point or goal? The good thing about the PL since we've been it it is that there has always been one god awful team that means you only have two relegation spots to worry about.

Think it was already a record last week ... but hold the press, next up for them is Chelsea.

Yep they set it last weekend for professional football. I wonder what the
record for semi professional is, and whether they've broken that as well?

Their fans still reckon they'll beat Newcastle away which I was going to mock but they probably will and it'll be quite funny to see that Geordie guy on YouTube go in to meltdown over it.

A Burnley player getting booked for diving a week after Dyche's tirade.

    Highlight of the weekend.

Depends on where you stand on contact. Yes, there was contact, but it wasn't even close to enough to take him to the ground. So it is a dive.

I can see both sides really.

You're probably right - I shouldn't have been so adamant as I'm not actually watching it. Just have 5live on in background and Pat Nevin felt it was so I took his word as gospel.

I can’t post it on here for some reason, but search Five Year Plan and look up the Crystal Palace goal of the month video for September. Highly amusing

Of all the teams around us only Liverpool and Chelsea have played (and lost to) City, now I know it's not a foregone conclusion but on what I've seen so far I'd expect all of them (including Spurs) to give up 6 points to the league leaders .... effectively this would mean a game in hand for us three, let's make sure we win ours.

So you are suggesting that City will win ever game this season? Or that they will lose or draw some but none to the top 6 teams ?

Well there is Man Utd .... but basically I'm saying there's a bloody good chance of it, at least until January. Of course injuries and such like could weaken them.

When's the "Premier League 3 Watch"* thread starting?

    Will we have "new" rivals.

*Due to a funny keyboard set-up the "s on this were originally £s - a portent of things to come?

It would be quite some feat to win every game of the season .
