Based on Watford's Twitter the club are flying to Austria today.

 

Can't help but be disappointed by our preseason schedule.

One year, the club will fulfill my dream of playing a preseason game against Clwb Pêl Droed Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch FC.

Alas, it is not to be this year.

 

Apparently the pilot is a chap called Kev, who works on a fruit stall, and isn't allowed to fly for commercial gain or after dark. He thinks he knows the way ("Hit Germany, then turn right"). Gino just doubled the club's insurance cover and bought some property in Monaco and Florida.

Having taken leisure to consult a map, it is virtually a straight line from London to Stuttgart to Munich to Austria.

I was working on the basis it's south of Germany and as any good navigator knows, north is left from UK, South is right, when heading to Europe.

Kevin Affleck must be truly untalented at every possible skill imaginable if he one day woke up and thought “ I think I’ll be a writer because it’s the one thing that I’m truly good at”

and all round game
