We have waited longer than expected to see what he could do, but that was a good performance not just "remotely acceptable"

Helps that he's actually getting more than 30 mins to prove himself though

Thought he did well yesterday, issue is Deeney can't keep up with him and Gray not good enough.

In love with this mans crossing, been too long since we had someone who's willing to cross the ball in or put the ball in behind like this. Shame our strikers are useless at getting on the end of them. Here's a selection of his crosses from our last 5 games.

The low ball he curls in are amazing. The weight on the pass is just perfect every time. As you say, it really shows up our forwards who are still not getting anywhere perfect these perfect crosses.

Hopefully Welbeck and Pedro will have a bit more mobility to get on the end of them!

Since the departure of QSF it is even more mind boggling the decision to sideline Sarr for so long. There were claims that he wasn't match fit, which was bull because he had played for Senegal in the ACON at the end of June, so other than giving him rest and a delayed start to the season there was no real reason for not playing him. On Saturday you could see that Sarr is worth a large wedge of cash, even though he is raw around the edges his pace and crossing is a joy to watch.

He has some elements of Richarlison to his game.

This one could go for astronomical money or just be a 1 season hero & then completely lose form, do a strop in the reserves & demand a cheap 20m transfer the following summer. Us lot have seen it all. When you can say stuff like this, you know you are a PL club.

Without him, our attack is so pedestrian. His pace, directness and delivery into the box are well above anything else we have. You saw first hand what happened once he went off against Sheff Utd and our attacking threat dried up completely.

He also gets top marks for his work rate and defensive effort.

The goal he scored on Saturday, was a goal nobody else in our squad could score. The ground he covered to get on the end of the cross was incredible. The biggest shame is that he can’t cross the ball to a clone of himself.

He was a great signing as I said in the Summer not the finished article. Poorly mismanaged at the start but is really showing his worth now. What impressed me most is his desire to get back and help out. He really shone after Mapps dismissal with his desire to be everywhere for our team. The passion to get on the end of Caps cross and still have the composure to finish was breathtaking. First name on the team sheet for me without doubt. Long may it last.
I would try and get Kessie in from Milan just so he even has a fellow countryman to help him settle. Would be a major signing on his own at a great age. Hopefully Sarr has had a word with him.

Absolutely. Thought he looked tired today as did a few others.

Most will have a week off now ready for Muff, although would have preferred Spurs with the form they're in.

The chance he made for himself just before halftime was classy. Comms said it was a lucky touch to put him past the defenders but I’m not having that.

He’s brilliant. Him staying fit might well be the difference between us staying up, or going down.

The pass to Geri for our first goal looked simple enough, but the weight on it was absolutely perfect, allowing the first time finish without breaking stride.

Some of the balls he puts into the box are sublime.

Beyond that, his work rate is excellent. Loved seeing him screaming in delight at full time. What a player.

I agree but how they deserve their time off!
Collectively they have worked their socks off since QSF left and are reaping the rewards for it.

The obvious asset is his speed and dribbling ability.

But I’ve been really impressed with his composure when passing and crossing, he actually looks to pick people out. If it’s not on, then he doesn’t force it, just waits and if necessary passes back to build again.

Could be some player on our hands.

Mad to see a Watford winger pick his head up and feed a perfect cross into the feet of an attacking player. Even madder to see us actually finish it for once.

What an absolute monster this boy is. A different class to our other attacking options, with genuinely scary pace and plenty of room to improve his decision making and finishing further.

It really makes you wonder just how unbelievable big Oulare would be under Pearson.

I bet he’d have at least 9 goals under this absolute magician we now call boss.

Let him go way too soon.

Just accept that we all make mistakes, and get things wrong sometimes. Except HB1 of course.

Might put clubs off buying him and other African talent.

Can hear the cries of anguish at Liverpool now as they lose Mane and Salah.

Pearson claims not to know what the injury is or how long he’ll be out; only that he won’t be playing tomorrow.

It's absurd to suggest he doesnt know the details. Clearly he's said that because the injury is so extensive it will reduce morale when the truth comes out.

    We're down.

Knowing our medical/media operations I suspect we’ll never be told. We never have any estimates of recovery periods. Sarr could be our for one week or the rest of the season for all we know!

He probably doesn't trust the medical staff!

Hughes isn't match fit or Kiko despite training since last week.

Knowing our medical staff whatever the ailment, the cure will involve leeches and maybe some sort of exorcism.

Well he was fun this season whilst he lasted! Now the inevitable injury has arrived he'll probably be back just in time to go away for the African Cup of Nation next season.

This sort of comment reminds me of when Shergar disappeared and the officer in charge of finding him brought in clairvoyants to help.

They were talking about this new virus in China on the news just now and said Sarr’s killed hundreds apparently. Is this the real reason he’s missing in action?

    Still injured for Everton.

    Chances of survival drop significantly.
