I just keep a sense of perspective, rather than let frustration get the better of me when I post. I spose when people say bucketload it depends on how big the bucket is. My bucket that I wash my car with is quite large. He has missed some chances particularly when he came back from injury but tbf he has had 10 starts from 28 games so from a season perspective I can't describe it as a bucketload I'm afraid. In recent games, he has been criticized by some members for 'doing nothing' so he hasn't been involved enough let alone missing these bucketloads you are talking about. And I reply to posts about Gray where I think it is wrong and unfair, I dont reply to fair criticism. Anyway, him and Deeney shouldn't be playing as they don't score enough in open play.

The pace we play at the Funeral March would be more suitable.

I really tried to watch that interview all the way through, Given the controversy but it's impossible.

From starting with a hard hitting question, which never gets answered, Walker is trying to cajole and spoon feed Gray into appearing human and likeable and it just doesn't come off.

The overriding sentiment is one of deluded arrogance and a dismissal of criticism as it all comes from plebs who don't know the real Dre.

There was 4 minutes of waffle about social media which i completely didn't understand.

Still, good to see it won over a large number of lemmings who think it's somehow worth anything.

Embarrassing, deluded BS. Bringing up possibly one of the most loved Watford players ever has totally effed my off. Something I will never forgive or forget.

I'm completely perplexed with this one dimensional view of Andre. All I heard over the weekend were Sky's top, top pundits like err... Graeme Souness and err... Roy Keane waxing lyrical about young Mason Mount ripping Sheff Utd to shreds and the even younger Phil Foden making Liverpool look like amateurs in their own backyard. They were also praising the tactical astuteness of coaches Thomas Tuchel and Pep Guardiola and the way their two players had adapted to the tough new position they had both been given in those televised matches.

We should be singing the praises of Xisco and Andre Gray. Surely there's only one coach and one player who truly understand and carry out the real role of what we must now call a 'false nine' properly. Andre's performance showed his absolute awareness of what was required in fulfilling his instructions so much so as that allowed Xisco to withdraw him early as he had softened up Coventry sufficiently. Are Xisco, Andre and me misunderstanding something fundamental here I wonder...?

I can't help think this is just a publicity stunt from Gray. Sure, it's a nice thing to do and you can't really knock him for it, but I think it's just so he has something positive to point to in which to defend himself with. Even if the motive behind it isn't completely altruistic, I'm sure this gesture will go down well.

Fgs give the guy a break. Why can't anything he does in life come from the heart? He is flesh blood and bones and made mistakes in life like the rest of us.

The timing is very convenient. A week after he says he gives to charity in that interview, we get a shining example of it. As I say, you can't knock the gesture, but I'm suspicious of the motives.

But that's on the assumption that he has never given to charity before, which I am guessing is what you are implying, in which case, no one knows except him.
If he says he gives to charity then that's fine. Similar or smaller charity donations can be made without publicity, not all of them necessary make the news.
Rashford raised money for the homeless and gave money to support COVID, which made the news, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gave to other ones less publicised.

He probably does give to charity. I'm not suggesting he doesn't, but this is the first time, to my knowledge, he has done so with such blazing publicity. This why I'm suspicious of the timing of it.

Doing something like this, and making it public, is a very good way to mitigate bad publicity. To make everyone think good of him. There's nothing wrong with it, and it's a good thing he's done, but it seems very calculated, just to win some people over.

It's designed as a "get off my back" initiative, just as last week's interview (which badly backfired) was.

It's a good start and laudable. He just needs to show by his behaviour that he has turned a corner - no more lockdown breaches. maximum effort in training and on the pitch, saying nothing if he can't avoid saying something daft, a bit more charitable giving etc.

It's a very nice thing to do and I'm sure the family will be very pleased. In normal person money terms, it's equivalent to giving about £20 but still, fair play.

Andre gets a lot of stick and rightly so because he's a terrible footballer. But fair play to him for doing this, I'm not going to get into whether I think the club might have had something to do with it or not. For once I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I’m not going to think, when he fluffs the next opportunity, ‘never mind at least he’s a nice bloke’.

Great, he’s generous. Now **** off and go be generous somewhere far away from here.

This is going to come across wrong however I say it - but purely out interest, how do you know its Andre Gray?

If it is, fair play to him, very generous gesture. If it isn't fair play to Andre G whoever he is, very generous gesture.

EDIT: Just read the Wobby. He didn't have to do it, and would have meant a lot to the family so nice one Andre.

Excellent pass in the lead up to the sixth. Good couple of days for Andre, hopefully he kicks on. He's still **** but if he does well some sucker might buy him in the summer.
