I am not a fan of Success, today he had his best game this time round, however he always overplays and loses the ball, or gives a crap pass to his team mate, however I believe Middlesborough is where he had his best game ever for us on the wing in his first season, who are we playing next?

Imagine if anybody able to look into the future had told us after the 0-0 borefest at Coventry that we’d then win 33 points out of 36 and (allowing for games in hand) sit here tonight 9 points clear of third place.

None of us would have believed them.

We worried then that we might not even make the play offs. Tonight we sit closer to top than third. (Although I know that could change later).

There won’t be a supporter of any of the chasing pack who won’t be thinking ‘blimey Watford are on fire and will take some catching’.

Pretty flat performance. We got a bit of luck with the goal and then never really got going. Wednesday certainly had the chances to nick a draw.

It was redolent of the early season wins under Ivic. Little going forwards but the one goal enough to settle it.

Chalobah was good, as was Hughes. Kiko was industrious.

Sarr was poor apart from the cross for the goal.

    Ekong was pretty poor too.

Success is gash. Masina also pretty shyte. The former must be got rid of, the latter needs to be back up at best if we go up.

Overall, a win is a win and that's all that matters, but we will need to improve to get the 4 further wins I figure we need to nail down promotion.

    We can do this.

I don’t need to have the stats to hand to know the answer and nor do you :). I don’t think Rhodes was 25/30 yards out.

Bannan, Chalobah, Hughes, in that order, stood out for me. Masina pretty good. Sierralta and Troost-Ekong quietly got on with it and, in the end and yet again, our keeper didn't have a save to make.
Success - I know he's match-rusty, but, with the ball sitting in front of you, (seven yards out?) and nobody challenging you, why the f**k would you take another touch? If nothing else, just shut your eyes and toe-poke it. Squandering a chance like that could have cost us points. He must be doing something in training that we don't see. He is useless. And, by the way, he was off-side for our goal. The unfortunate defender could not know at the time, but all he had to do was leave it.
Zinckernagel also guilty of taking too many touches, although not in such glaringly inviting circumstances.

Yes, and more to the point, the points gap will really weigh on the minds of those players of the chasing teams. Do they really still believe they can get 2nd ?

I don't think Success is as bad as some on here. He just looks very, very rusty to me. He certainly isn't ready to start, though.

Much like Chalobah, it's going to take him time to play back from that injury and extended layoff. I'm not ready to write him off yet, he does show some promising glimpses at times.

Thought Masina and Ekong were very good today and Success was involved in everything good we did, just a terrible decision maker in the penalty box (as he had been his whole career).

Zinckernagel took a step back I thought, looked more like his early form with us, expecting too much time on the ball.

Doesn't matter though, all you need are wins at this stage

Me too, the guys a completely loose canon, a total liability and a disaster in the making. Still calling himself 'the big man' when he's the biggest threat to our promotion push, has 1 league goal from open play this season and makes us utterly shyt when he plays. If he gets back in the team before we've gained promotion, we'll almost certainly be playing championship football next season.

A very poor performance but as others have said the points are what matter now, as long as the performance was a one off.

Four wins and a draw or two should almost certainly do it now. I don't think that's a huge ask.

Success is a player for whom expectations are so low, that when he lays it off simply or wins a freekick, we think that's decent, but it's not. He's a waste of space. Just not interested in being a decent player.

Ekong nearly gave them a goal with a terrible defensive header from a free kick and played some inexplicable balls forward which wasted posession under no pressure.

Masina was out of position a few times, giving them a few small chances. He's gash.

Like, we can get away with WTE and Masina at this level, but not if we go up. They are back up at best. Success, Gray and Deeney aren't even that and need to be gone, by hook or by crook. Just get them out.

The best thing for me is that Chalobah looks like a Prem midfielder again.
