I can’t agree , the **** he appears with on talk sport Durham is worse , or at least louder , however I’m really nit picking he is indeed an utter **** of the stupidest order
If we are to have any chance of automatic promotion I think we need at least 50 points from the next 23 games (pure guess looking at old tables and performance so far) , that’s around 17 wins , can’t afford to lose or draw any games to teams below us. Can’t throw points away due to lacklustre performance. It feels a bit like the end of last season , will we make, will we be safe, just a few more points , **** it we are down gut feeling is as suggested in a post above , poor team performance with a couple of individual moments of class and 2-0 victory.
Bit worrying this. I'm not buying this Bachmann nonsense at all, I think a new signing or the reappearance of Dahlberg is needed. I can't understand why Parkes is being trusted as 3rd choice. It literally is like the hierarchy have forgetten about Jack Bonham.
That's not a fair comparison. Pedro is able to move towards where the ball is going to land so of course he will win more heading duels. Crosses/long-balls have to land within 6 feet of where Deeney is standing for him to take part in a duel.
Dahlberg got injured and had surgery, so he won't be playing for anyone any time soon. If Bachmann now gets injured before Foster comes back, do we get to sign an emergency loan keeper? It's a bit of a dilemma, I'd be nervous if we had to rely on Parkes, but when we had Dahlberg as 3rd choice keeper rotting away not even getting on the bench a few years ago, that didn't do him or us any good
Bonham is contracted to Gillingham but the WUM seems to have forgotten or intentionally neglected to mention this.
The only place I've seen others with two brain cells to rub together is, amazingly, Twitter. Facebook is mostly full of "leave poor Troy alone!" type vegetable wielders.
Baachman has been decent, he is a good goalkeeper I saw him play plenty of times at Kilmarnock and he is an excellent shot stopper, he is more than capable to play at this level. I think he probably deserved a chance anyway Foster is making mistakes way to frequently in more recent times.
Considering how average we’ve been for most of this season, bizarrely if we win tomorrow, we will have more points at the halfway stage than either 14/15 or 05/06.
I would agree with that if Bachmann was a similar level to Foster. Bottom 6 Championship goalkeeper. We literally missed out on automatic promotion the season our saviours arrived because we had a school kid as 3rd keeper. WBA just signed Lonergan so bring Bondy home
Bizarrely we are already half way through the season and already have more points than 05/06, 12/13 & 14/15 http://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/season-statistics-2020-21.57524/page-4#post-2953031
We currently have three points fewer than the 07/08 season where the wheels came off in the second half too...
But is Bachmann that much worse than Foster? He's played, what, 6 games for us, in which he's generally been decent, whereas Foster's form has been pretty **** of late, when was the last time he really had a good game? I think even earlier in the season he was being overhyped, plenty of mistakes that he either got away with or otherwise were forgotten. Unfortunately Bondy's just gone to LA Galaxy, so that move is off!
I think that just shows that a) there is still a long way to go and b) going on a lengthy winning run can change the picture. Unfortunately we haven't done the latter yet, with only two wins in a row our best so far. This is what is needed and right now seems a good time to do it, given the fixtures this month.
Bizarrely, ( or perhaps not) , I'm so stupid, I didnt realise I was looking at the previous gamesweek's graphic!
Get behind the ladz! Support are teem! Like ignoring obvious disgraceful decisions will make things better. I have just got a 30 day ban from FB, so mercifully, won't be subjecting myself to any more Enjooooy the game moronic nonsense.
TBH, I'd rather have a mid table side of Cleverley/Bachman/JP/Kiko and one or two others who give a ****, than see Foster put in a match saving performance one week, then laugh his head off after costing us the game the next. Foster can join Deeney and Gray on the list of 'get rid at any cost' players for me.
I tend to agree. I still haven't really forgiven him for laughing at the 8-0. Mr IBB said Palace were thrashed on Sunday I said "no" we were thrashed and had a senior pro laughing at it.
What are you basing Baachmans ability on? Foster is a good keeper but I am convinced he is on the decline and not much better than Baachman. I don't really trust Foster to not make mistakes anymore he has cost us too many goals this season. I get what you are saying but we can't run a business on unusual things that happened 8 years ago, money is clearly tight and I would say priorities are elsewhere.
I think you can if you don't 1/ post enough pictures of your kids, 2/ "like" enough friends posts, and 3/ comment "Beautiful babe" when any female friend posts a pic of themselves.
Quite, our 14/15 form from this point in was really quite something. It all clicked a few games prior to where we are now, in the 5-0 Fulham demolition, that seemed to be when the team and fans realised how good they were. Feels like we need a similar stand out performance to really ignite this season.
Yeah. Someone posted a blank comment which meant you had to scroll through about 6 pages to get past it. I called them a ******* ****. Got a 30 day mute. Can't comment or like anything. I'm gonna join Parler.
Sorry, bit late on this, but I watched s/half highlights of that game with a firm eye on "what do they do that we don't". There were quite lengthy periods of defensive "Ivic ball" tbh but the final out ball to a moving midfielder usually good. The biggest differences to me were a) basic ball control and retention, b) movement WITH the ball. We have hardly any players that, when closed down will simply side step, move the ball and go past them.... Most of our players just pass it defensively. OK a lot of this is lack of confidence but I really wish our midfield would move more with the ball rather than look for the safest sideways pass..?
