Gray has been poor but feel he would do well with Deeney in a 2. Pedro and Chalobah don't do enough for me! At least Quina looks like he is trying to make something happen. 0-0
Utterly depressing to think that Andre Gray will be getting paid around 40,000 British Pounds into his bank account on Friday after that tonight. Genuinely one of the worst individual performances I've seen in the Pozzo era. James Garner & Domingos Quina the bright spots.
Slow anti football, we might as well have kept QSF, at least he has a decent song and dresses well Ivic won't be the manager who finishes this season
Utter toilet. Not a chance in hell we get promoted with performances like this. Zero control in midfield. Bugger all in terms of chances. How Gray starts ahead of Perica is amazing. Still we can wait for Hughes to come back in March and guarantee promotion. It's a rollercoaster ride remember. Bloody appalling.
This one wasnt on Ivic for me. Just a collection of over-hyped, over-paid, half arsed players. Couldve played till xmas and not scored despite Bristol practically begging for us to with the amount of times they handed us possession in a "dangerous" position.
Complete and utter dog s**t. There is nothing to like about this club any more. The owners, the manager, the squad, the football, it's all almost entirely detestable. I don't enjoy watching us play at all any more, it's an absolute chore.
We probably slightly edged that, but it's not the worst point really. Our defence was fairly solid. Midfield not as bad as I expected given the lineup, but Bristol let them play. Quina was the main bright spark in the match but should have nicked a goal. Front three the biggest negative. Sarr was lazy too often. JP had flashes but wasn't involved enough. Gray was abysmal. Deeney was chasing shadows when he came on. Perica showed again in the few minutes that he was on that he's definitely our sharpest striker, he's the only one of them actually capable of beating opposition defenders to the ball (his pass to Deeney was fine as well, but it's not his fault Troy is so unbelievably slow).
We were fine. We won’t be getting promoted playing like that however. I can’t tell if it’s a lack of creativity, confidence or poor coaching, but we’re far too willing to pass the ball backwards and allow the opposition to recoup. Perica is our best striker, so I have no idea why he was brought on so late. All in all however, a decent point given the circumstances against a good side .
Disappointing not to win after dominating but I do think thats the best we have played in a while. We MUST stick with 433 now whatever happens. That being said, I saw nothing tonight to change my opinion that Ivic will not get us promoted and should be moved on ASAP The main issue with the team at the moment is of course the attack: Gray (and this is genuinely not an exaggeration) has the technical ability of a Sunday league player. I'm sure he will stick up a Tweet later about 'haters' or 'doubters' because his ego can't handle how poor he actually is but it doesn't change the fact that his contract should have been paid up last season - he's disgracefully poor and shouldn't play for us again. Sarr was very poor tonight, consistently made the wrong decision Pedro (and im sure others will disagree) I felt at least tried to do something different and looked inventive and positive. I like him a lot more floating behind a centre forward rather than in the centre forward role Deeney looked back to his old, fat, immobile self after coming on. Not the answer Perica has to start IMO and not because hes particularly amazing... simply because hes the only one that can simultaneously move and control a football
He is hopelessly out of his depth and knows it . He just cannot get anywhere near the ball when we come under pressure. Until Deeney came on to replace him it was like watching a defence Vs attack training match .
I feel a combination of boredom and frustration. The players look like they have no soul, belief or desire. The atmosphere at training or in the camp must be very flat. Perhaps Ivic is not be the best motivator. There doesn’t appear to be any joy in the camp. Certainly not creating any joy for fans.
Pretty damn poor but I do think slightly better than recently. I think we could have won had Deeney started over Gray. I usually try to avoid the Gray pile-on but that was awful. Perica or Deeney HAVE to be ahead of him from now on. Nice to see Quina play well and I thought Garner was good too. Honestly, though, this is seriously uninspiring stuff at the moment. Ivic was a big mistake.
Total rubbish. Perica should have replaced Gray instead of Deeney. What do this lot do on the training ground all week?
Pretty much as dispiriting a performance as Saturday - basically no attacking cohesion, no quality in finishing, and Chalobah continuing to be Bambi on ice whilst thinking he's a hybrid of Yaya Toure and Zidane. The defence looked paper thin at times and they managed to get in behind and flash it across goal more dangerously and more often than we ever did. The reality of this team is becoming more and more evident.
Agree with a lot of this however Deeney gained possession of the ball and brought others into the game
We’ve now played seven away matches and scored a grand total of THREE goals. THREE! In 420 minutes. That’s worse than in any of our relegation seasons. Yet some deluded souls go on about us having the best squad in the division. They talk about our strikers being more than good enough for this level. Of players like Sarr ripping up the division. Yeah right, while Norwich and Bournemouth march on at the top, we keep on turning in limited performances every time we step away from the Vic. Led of course by the Serbian Southgate. With every week that passes, the poor man looks more out of his depth, as he continues to suck all the joy out of us. High time he went back to his Mickey Mouse standard of leagues from whence he came, because he’s way out of his depth here. And take his stinking joyless negative football with him. I can’t remember a season I’ve enjoyed less so far in all my years of following us.
Utter ****. Goals are just not coming. We have a 55m strike force who can't score or create goals. We rode our luck at the back and Bristol probably should have had a couple but for poor finishes and Foster's interventions. Chalobah awful. Kiko Poor. Sarr is a waste of a shirt. Pedro ineffective. And as for Andre ****yng Gray, he's an embarrassment to his profession and the whole human species. Utter joke. The fact that he's still at the club is a matter of criminal neglect. He's been a ******* walking disaster since we got him, but he's still here, stinking up the place on an alleged 70k per week. Now he's shown that even at a lower level, he can't magically kick or control a football. How on earth have we allowed our squad to have such players on long expensive contracts that no other club would ever take on? Ivic is finished. It might take a few games, but he won't be here at the end of the season. I'm certain of that. He's not got whatever it is that's needed to motivate this shower of **** of a squad and his negative approach is killing our hopes. We aren't going up this season and the players that we will be selling will be sold for less than we'd hoped, as their values are plummeting. Things are on the downer now. We are going to see this site start to achieve the level that our performances deserve and we will float down the table into obscurity and wonder what could have been.
Same, when was the Liverpool game? That was the last time I’ve watched us and not struggled to stay awake! And even that was an odd one out from the 20 or so games before it
