If we win, and end up top of the league, are we still cross for a few days, or do we take a break and calm down?
I think we calm down a bit. However if we lose and drop out of the play-off places, this place erupts....
Has anyone sacked their manager while top in the last few years? That’d be a new pozzo out type of vibe for the bedwetters
Couple back - but no Hughes. Stipe Perica, Christian Kabasele back for Watford's game at Bristol City | Watford Observer
Cleverley with a possible return as well dependent on a fitness test. Given the state of our midfield at the weekend, we could really do with him back. If Stipe is really fit again then he should go straight in to the starting XI and let Gray come on later once the match is stretched. Troy can rot.
I think we said this about all the recent managers, but I wonder if Vlad's main aim right now is showing the management that we are still missing a LB, a CM dynamo, and a fit striker, and how is he supposed to get results etc etc.? I dont blame him tbh, it's clear we haven't gotten over last years' nightmare, the players still haven't got much confidence, most are still with us etc. Right now I'm not sure if Vlad is 6 weeks from being sacked, or if he walks away at new year when he's told there won't be any new additions as the current lot are good enough......
Gives us a target to aim at. We must attempt to go one better and become the top sacking club of all time.
I just decided to go through our first 15 and come up with any sane reason why they just don't perform for more than 30 minutes in any one game. Here's my thinking : Foster - top goalie most of the time. RB - Kiko can't defend / Ngokia a boy. LB - we haven't had a proper one for ages. CBs - mainly slow and erratic, but not helped by lack of FBs. Midfield - Hughes L/T injury, Cleverly not long back, Capoue - not fully fit. Challobah - too slow on the ball, 70pct of what he once was, Quina - not ready too young too flash. Garner - Good. Sema - good but out of position. Forwards - Deeney - not fit v. Slow. Gray - not match fit, zero confidence, not good but not much support for him. Sarr - good and could be great but is our only outlet on the right and he's usually on his own bombing forward. Pedro - lightweight for this level, doesn't really know where he supposed to play, will be great in future years. So in real terms we should not be expecting anything from this mob for at least another year or so (with 3 or 4 quality additions). Just maybe GP just decided to keep purse strings tight this disrupted covid affected season, stay afloat, and see if we can battle it out and get a playoff place.? Tbh there's no way we are top 2 this season.... Maybe I (we?) or GP are just expecting far too much with this squad....and we ARE as poor as our away performances infer....
Good detail in the match preview from the Bristol site : https://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/t...-wed-25th november-1945-–-what-can-we-expect/
Great write up that, a few errors (we still own Grenada and we’re a hard working team) but otherwise excellent.
Yes agreed. We always seem to get called physical too. Maybe we are meant to be but don't see it. I think we are lightweight if anything!
I live 5 minutes from the ground. What trouble could I get into if I sneak in? Arrested or just told to **** off?
That would be a very stupid decision if it was the case because, in real terms, if we don't make it out of the division this year we will see 3 or 4 quality subtractions, not the converse.
If we are not promoted this year, I would expect there to be a major reset at the club, not least in terms of wage budget. I think we would see something similar to 2012, with a high influx of new players, some of which will be hits and some misses at Championship level.
Is Garner the new Quina in that when he isnt playing he’s a world beater? He’s hit the bar v reading, and taken some good corners, but also put in the single worst performance of this season against Bournemouth. I dont think he is overall dreadful or some daft hyperbole like that, but he’s not outperformed anyone at all.
Not true! Despite your colonialist ambitions Mr Imperialist, Grenada has been a free, sovereign and independent country since 7th February 1974!
I meant they say we still own Grenada, when in fact we don’t. As you say, that goes for both of them!
