Another thing: I'm disappointed we seem to be sticking with 352.

Its good for Pervis and Ngakia, but not for Sarr and the fact that we still have too many 5hit3 CBs.

Papers in Spain saying Granda want him and that the player’s said he doesn’t want to play in the second tier.

Someone else everyone seems to have forgotten - where the f*** is Perica?!

Gray and Murray as our only real strikers there is very underwhelming.

Bit disappointed not to see Suarez ( hopefully cos he’s a guaranteed starter next Friday?) . Rest of the team kind of as expected with players injured or those that may be sold being kept away for now . Don’t think that’s a bad championship side , with a few unknown quantities .

Though wouldn’t play gray on his own up front . He really needs to play with a partner to be effective . Maybe Quina or Cleverly playing just behind

There is not a single natural wide player in that squad with Sarr and Sema unavailable so it makes sense.

It's ok, we've left all the good players out to save them for next Friday. Also, we've been relegated and should expect this sort of lineup. Also they might be injured.

    The COGs keep on turning.

Looks like they are looking to sell Suarez unless he has a knock. What a dreadful team in prospect this season. Cleverly and Gray centre stage. Joao Pedro warming the bench.

Joao Pedro has only been in training for a few days. It would have been more of a surprise if he started to be honest.

    Suarez is odd though.

Unless he has a knock I would have thought that Suarez would have had a 45 minute run out

Friendlies are about having a look.

Today we get to have a look at Wilmot, Estupinan, Quina, Dele-B, Ngakia and off the bench most likely Penaranda, Pedro etc. Exactly the kind of youthful line up so many people have been crying out for here over the past six football-less weeks.

If everybody bar the injured players who haven’t been selected today are omitted because we are about to sell them, then yes that’s a huge worry. But personally I doubt that is the case.

Whose Agyakwa? I take it Stevensson is the trialist from the last game. Cathcart & Sema involved in the nations league or whatever its called this weekend? Surprised to see Navarro in the squad after his comments during the week about wanting to leave asap. Disappointed theres no Capoue or Suarez though I guess Grimes would be Capoues replacement

Centre back we signed last year from FC Twente for the U23s.

Never really heard anything about him.

Don't be so negatif we are having a look at other players six days before our first competitive game

Of course, what am I thinking? It's pure coincidence that such a number of our better players aren't involved in our final pre-season friendly!

I mean, why would you want to get them to start gelling on the pitch together? We need to have a look at everyone (except Suarez, Sarr, Capoue, Hughes, Foster etc) not play our best team!

Have we actually signed the two udenese players on loan? I see the official channels only refer to Murray being our second signning

    Good start - tidy play.

Kabasele gives away his usual silly fee kick.

Struggling to see where Sarr and João Pedro naturally fit into this system

Sarr won't be here so that's irrelevant. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Pedro went either.

I think the system makes both departing more likely. You can't hold that amount of value on the bench just for a Plan B.

We're clearly playing this system very much because we know the likes of Sarr won't be here.

Honestly with the outgoings we're seemingly on the verge of seeing and the quality of player we're being linked to and trialling, I have no idea how we are expecting to get anything out of this campaign at all.

Just looks set to be another shambles of a season right off the back of the last one.

Or... some are leaving yes, but some have got a niggle or in the case of Foster, there's nothing likely to learn compared to playing the others? I'm sure some departures will be announced, but not all those bigger names.

    I'm not impressed at all.

We start our league campaign in just SIX DAYS and we are fielding this disappointing starting eleven. This in itself would not be so bad if we had our more established players on the bench, but many of those players are not even in the squad, so where the **** are they

The team sound far more vocal than last year and its good to see players showing encouragement to each other rather than the sulky indifference of last season

For those watching the game. I’m only interested in how Estupinan, Wilmot, Penaranda and Pedro play. Possibly Murray too.
