Sky Italia reporting Lucarelli will be the new Ternana coach and NOT be joining Watford.

Cristiano Lucarelli seems to be a controversial character who sometimes brought his political beliefs onto the pitch. He is reported to be an admirer of Che Guevara and an open supporter of communism. I can think of one poster on this forum who might have been pleased by his appointment, but I think that the club may have dodged a bullet if he has been appointed as the new Ternana coach.

Cristiano Giaretta makes much more sense as a possible candidate in view of the fact he has already been a Sporting Director at Udinese (2013-16) and he appears to have just finished his contract as Sporting Director at CSKA Sofia.

 

It’s not Lucarelli. It’s Giaretta, ex-Udinese.
