Having come from certain doom before Christmas to a realistic chance of staying up is making this all the more awful. We need some serious luck to get any points out of this game.
No, no, no. There's too many L***n supporters around where I live that would just love that to happen. Let's not wish it on ourselves.
I'm generally not a fan of hardcore or a glutton for punishment but the masochist in me ultimately knows I'll still end up watching 11 men rogering 11 other men on Tuesday night.
Full marks to Smudger for kicking this off so smartly. Good of him to try to take our minds off tonight. Unfortunately, it is City we are 'playing'. I'm just full of admiration for all of you who have already posted on here. Appropriately, the masochism theme is up and running.
Don’t need too, this forum has plenty of personalities for me to live through, it was just missing a happy clapper, so I had to add it.
Backed City -3.5 goals in the cup final and managed to recoup some of flight costs. Pretty sure the margin of defeat will be similar this time around. What’s the biggest aggregate margin of defeat in one season? Surely we’ve got a chance to take that record down with us.
Plus that GT team never stopped battling for each other despite being the lowest paid in the league. Our current lot should be ashamed.
Very true. I can take people being average but the 'application' of most players this season has been scandalous. A failure to adhere to the basics is not acceptable. I do think our defence will struggle in the Championship.
You are the worst kind of 'fan' a club could be lumbered with, hooligans and racists aside. We all know are playing badly and even if we do stay up now we'd surely go down next season without drastic change. We all know there's some sort of toxicity within the club that Pearson hasn't been able to penetrate despite early promise. This is not the first time recently you've hoped we lose. Just think about that for a minute - a fan hoping his own team loses....... That is despicable no matter however much of a car crash of a season we are enduring. No doubt you will derive some perverse pleasure if we do lose heavily whilst posting your usual 'I ******* hate this club.... I ******* hate every one of these ******* players' (and so on, ad nauseum) as you strive to be the most outraged member of this forum despite your ridiculous claim yesterday that you've tried to be positive. The club needs a big clearout wherever we are next season. As does some of our fanbase it seems. No one claiming to be a fan wants their team to lose. So '**** off. Just **** off' (to quote you - regularly - after, during and even before a match).
I think Pearson should pick one of those joke end of season teams you sometimes get when a manager knows he’s going. We can’t win this game, so we may as well get some entertainment through seeing Giraldi’s face as Andre Gray starts in goal.
Biggest headache for this game is which Man city player to make my fpl captain with rotation king Pep.
No, of course not. Genuinely, it's not worth it. If you're really concerned, just set an alarm to check the score at 85 minutes, and if hell has frozen over you can turn it on and clap our little warriors off the pitch for only losing by two clear goals.
Anyway, among all you jokers predicting we'll get rodgered, I think we'll win narrowly. Probably 2-1 with Foster having a blinder. I'm gutted I'll miss the game because the lunatic asylum have asked me to come in and review my medication on the same day.
You see the problem I have is this. Nath may be absurdly negative but he’s been saying the club needs a massive clear out for years. And he’s right. And now the likes of you, who have constantly attacked him for seasons claim that “we all know there is toxicity in the club”. I find this current trend of re-writing history while having the temerity to still stick the boot into Nath despicable, rather than the bloke who has been proved correct.
Was it really that high? Wow. As for this game? Not a chance. Avoid at all costs. I'm going for a long run, might even go past the ground and shout something negative.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a long post about me. I didn't really read any of it, but it's nice to know I'm worth it x
I hope City stick 10 past Foster. It will show those worthless, effortless and utter fraudsters how low they have sunk. This season was a bust from the beginning. We just followed on from the end of last season's pitiful showing. Lack of leadership, direction, talent, youth, focus, confidence and fitness have led to our ultimate relegation. What an embarrassment we have become.
You miss the point. He hasn't been 'proved right'. That suggests he had some crystal ball foresight or inside knowledge. In reality his obsessively relentless pessimism just happens to coincide with what, at this stage of a poor season, appears to be the unfolding truth. Even if he did have some insight, there is still no need for the way he goes on. It's not passion, it's a child-like tantrum. We moved seats two seasons ago because a so-called fan near us was constantly screaming abuse at the team, however well we played. But that's all by-the-by really. He wants us to lose. That is what is despicable.
