Surely if the option is play on neutral grounds or the season gets voided, the vote will pass. Muff, Norwich and Villa are not going to vote against the neutral ground option. The only question then is whether individual players refuse to play, as they don’t believe it’s safe

 

His whole argument is based on relegation being in play, full stop. Yet he cannot know that’s definite to happen. So it’s no more than just his opinions, the same as anyone’s.

But who puts the proposal on the table? Maybe I’m wrong but isn’t it for proposals to be made by the 20 member clubs and then voted on?

Or is there one overriding voice who chooses what gets voted on or not?

As in, can’t one of the clubs at the bottom just propose a vote to take relegation of the table? If not, who takes that power away from them and decides what the options on the table are?

 

I’m gonna stick my neck out and bet that even though the Bundesliga has the go ahead, that there are more than one hiccup on the way and it doesn’t happen. At least not on the date suggested. In the past week, the date has already been pushed back twice to the current one. It’ll change again IMO.

 

I dislike Bournemouth as much as the next man - but any solution that changes the playing field and relegates them over us by a goal is simply unfair and i would hope that the 7 votes required to block it should include ours in solidarity with them

 

Big difference is that their government hasn't screwed up the Covid response and has 1/4 of our casualties and new cases

 

Its quite obvious they are making a big mistake in Germany.
They have tested the players in top 2 divisions, 1792 tests and 10 came back positive.
How can you start this with even 1 case positive?

 

As much as I would like the season to resume, I'd also find it brilliant if that happened to Bournemouth - it'd be a bit of revenge for them pipping us to the Championship title by 1 point and all their diving over the years.

Only 10 out of that many is hardly anything and they've all been put in quarantine (consider that clubs have already been in training leading up to this). The numbers should obviously come down from that as well.

1 case doesn't matter if it is caught early by testing.

There is no way that football matches should be played until a safe way can be found to do so, and playing behind closed doors is definitely not the answer.

How can a full contact sport be played safely as there is no way that social distancing can be practised playing a football match!!!

 

So the 10 go into quarantine but what about all those that came into contact with them over the last week ? They need to self-isolate. Presumably some of those will develop symptoms and have been contagious before they went into self isolation. So they go into quarantine and anyone who came into contact with them needs to self isolate ......

 

Personally I'm looking forward to watching some top tier European football.
