    Message 1 Day 1:

Big field for this game and difficult to know who to view on Day 1. I decided to get cracking early. I went for Helsinki and given the high odds on finding someone good, I did.

Message 2 Day 1: Morning Global Resistance,

The sly wolf got in there early today I see... cunning.

Viewed Krakow and he is GOOD.

En route vers de nouvelles adventures, chers amis

    Message 1 Day 2:

Yesterday I posted early, my trademark you see. I told you Helsinki was good but now he’s only good for reindeer food. The wolf’s silly Shakespeare quote got you all in a dither. Today I viewed Nairobi. Another for team good. Try not to feed the lions this time.

    Message 2 Day 2:

    Good morning Global Resistance,

So the wolf is quite smart and wants you all to know it.

Yesterday I viewed Krakow. Today I viewed Denver and he is also Good.

Hier ist nichts so wird ein mann als bescheidene stille und demut

    Message 1 Day 3:

    Good morning Global Resistance,

The wolf seems to have taken fright. Today I viewed Oslo, who appears much too keen to show how good he is. No wonder - he is evil.

Gli uomini di poche parole sono gli uomini migliori.

    Message 2 Day 3:

    Good morning Global Resistance.

The sneaky wolf realised they made a mistake with the error around posting early as their trademark. So they've switched to trying to copy the Henry V quotes. But... that was only one part of the way to tell these messages as the true Seer and they didn't have the other. The choice of languages was not random and they've got it wrong. They were going in order of most recent World Cup winners. First message: France (2018). Second message: Germany (2014). So today's quote should've been in Spanish (2010). No wolf could possibly have made this up, so you should know I am the Seer.

On the first day, I viewed Krakow and he was Good. On the second day I viewed Denver and he was also Good. Today I viewed Venice and he is also Good.

El juego está en marcha: Sigue tu espíritu!

One with too much time on their hands...

No in all honesty I had not seen that post.

I am not sure exactly which player each of your comments are aimed at. I would say, however, that I would have liked you to hold fire a bit on unveiling your role. I think other people's behaviour towards you might have helped us a bit more.

I can see why you did (it would have been risky to allow momentum against you to build).

Probably worth pointing out that my vote for Fes was the very first one then. I voted for him and then wrote my reasoning at the same time that other people started looking at him for the same reason.

Can I just confirm that by the logic of today's second message we are saying that the second message on Day 1 & 2 was also our seer?

It’s worth repeating I’ve not hidden in any crowd. I think I was the second person to vote for Fez yesterday and as mayor too. Helsinki was just a day one punt. Given it looks like Kracow was named as good by the seer it was really a no win choice with hindsight.

  7. Prague

Interesting, given you took exception to my comment towards the end of the day yesterday and told me to ‘have a word’.

If anything, with how today has played out it’s more suss because you’ve been named as good in a message that looks like it was probably from the evil team.

As it stands, I'm still most suspicious of Istanbul.

Whilst we have looked at various reasons to look at others, they are doing a great job of staying outside of all of the conversations by keeping their head down and remaining utterly incognito.

There's no dispute that the second message on Day 1 and 2 was the Seer. The wolf has copied the Seer's style today.

There’s that very early day one vote of his to consider too. Drawing attention to yourself early on is often ignored later.

I identified the message naming me as good as being likely from the wolf, almost immediately myself. You are offering thin gruel. Or goulash.

  12. Athens

Okay cool, so named in messages:

    CONFIRMED GOOD:

    Oslo
    Krakow
    Denver
    Venice

    UNSURE:

    Nairobi

  13. Krakow

    No harm, no foul.

I voted for you on day 1 as I felt you were pushing the narrative, had I known you were a mason, I wouldn't have voted for you.

Feels like a nice hearty meal to me.

You also have honourable mentions as being in of interest to Denver and Athens...

I don’t get what your point is above. You’re hardly going to counter a message naming you good by saying it’s wrong and you’re evil?

Mason's don't show as Very Good when they die do they?

Are you spamming the thread now to get your post count up? Seems pretty suspicious just after you get called out for not posting, to make the last few posts you have.

Bit of a reach, just asking.

I want to be double sure the things we're taking as gospel are firstly right.

I just joined the thread at the time and I'm going over the stuff from today, I've joined in at a similar time every day due to work.

Plus, we lynched the guy with the least amount of posts yesterday and he was good so..

Need to get some work done now so will come back later. But Athens and Santiago the two who I’m most suspicious of right now.

Looking at Athen's 24 posts, there's been next to no discussion of the game at hand. Lots of 'hello' style messages and repeating other people's comments. Absolutely nothing brought to the table other than a list of people's post counts on Day 2.

Sorry for late post guys. Been sleeping in quite a lot recently and watching a lot of box sets.

So general consensus is Helsinki and Berlin were Masons and Fes Tinker ?

Focussing on post count has got us nowhere so far.

I would suggest we try to actually use logic today now we have some tangible evidence to piece together rather than gambling on something that may actually be nothing...

Hello style messages? As in my first post of the day where I say hello? LOL

But my post was more about what they've posted in relation to Tokyo's comments not about Athen's post count in total. After all, I've posted less in total.

It seems pretty clear that second message today is Seer as he has smoked out the wolf with the World Cup theme.

If so then we shouldnt be voting for Oslo nor should we vote for Denver.

Which leaves us with a 3 rd day of guessing based upon posting style/motivation.

  25. Tokyo

Yeah, I agree low post count isn’t really telling us much. Two days of voting patterns are more useful but only if we have a reason to know why a wolf would vote on day 1 for Helsinki rather than Kracow (or the other way round). Otherwise it’s all just random isn’t it?

Nairobi would you care to explain why you were very quick to dispel my theory of the quote being from Henry V ?

Is it a 6pm or 8pm deadline today ? I have to go out at 5 ish for 2 hours so may have to vote early. Just getting that out there in case people misinterpret it again.

Krakow and Denver are confirmed good. Venice and Oslo are also very likely to be good - Oslo made strong hints yesterday suggesting he was a Mason, including raising the (before unnoticed) Mason symbolism in The Globes write up.

On day 1: the alpha (and also probably the traitor) were more likely to vote for Krakow. Therefore Athens, Nairobi, Santiago and myself should be seen as suspects.

On day 2: Prague, Istanbul, Nairobi and Santiago all started suspecting Oslo yesterday, after Oslo started hinting about his role.

The only two names that are on both of those lists are Santiago and Istanbul.

Given Santiago supported the first message today, I'd say he is the leading suspect.

    6pm from today onwards.

If a vote isn't submitted by that time, the player will be killed off.

Looking over yesterday, Athen's led the group in turning on Fes due to post count and is now stating that wasn't the right move. Suspicious. If Fes was the tinker, they voted for Jeddah for some reason. Might have been a final curve ball as the writing was on the wall to upset the apple cart, maybe not.

    Again, so not true.

I posted that at a point where Fes already had one vote and I just put the info there.

When I explained my vote, this is what I put:

"Also going Fes due to the low activity, I think he's been too low so is probably not Evil as he's sticking out too much which is counterproductive but at this early stage not much else to go off I'm afraid."

Do you know who's explanation and justification for voting Fes I can't see in that thread? Yours.

Because you didn't, just silently voted following the crowd.

Not sure I started pointing the finger at Oslo?

Edit: I note I said he was playing the ‘Busy’ card... but that was it. It’s now fairly plain from what we’ve had today that that was probably legitimate.

Nonsense. And bolding names doesn't make you right either. I clearly state that we need the second message, I also state that I believe Oslo to be a mason, a rookie one, but a mason nonetheless. I also did not suspect Oslo directly yesterday.

Whereas you've been rocking the boat from day 1, accusing all and sundry for changing reasons - exactly what a wolf would do. Sterling work.

You didn't particularly, but I wanted to mention everyone who mentioned him as acting suspiciously:

    Relevant quotes suspecting Oslo:

Moscow: "London though, seemed to be quite suspicious about Oslo and voiced those concerns a couple of times. I wonder if he was getting close to the truth."
Prague: "Oslo also playing the ‘busy’ card..."
Istanbul: "Oslo has raised my suspicions once today and once yesterday, although I would concur it is a suspicion I hold only lightly at this stage."
    Nairobi:
    - "Interesting that Oslo has been raising suspicions. Anybody care to walk us through their thinking?"
    - "Sorry - posted early - What I meant to say @Oslo is that 3 players voiced suspicions about you on page 2 and I asked them to walk me through their suspicions, yet rather than address them, you suggest it is me leading the suspicion."
    Santiago:
    -
(In response to Oslo potentially being framed) "Seems obvious though. An inexperienced wolf might go down that route but would be such a silly move. Especially as that has resulted in just what some are planning to do. Hope the Seer views one of the troublemakers from yesterday. Got huge suspicions over Jeddah. Not quite enough to vote for them but not far off."
    - (today after first message, adding weight to what seems like a bluff to frame Oslo) "Some were banging the drum of Oslo's innocence yesterday after accusing them the day before. Second message will be very interesting."

    Relevant quotes supporting Oslo:

    Moscow:
(originally accused Oslo, but then changed their mind): "I think I understand" [that Oslo is a Mason].
Denver: "I don’t think Oslo is evil - he has been too vocal and I agree London may have been targeted because he made accusations at Oslo - so that Oslo would then be in the frame."
Jeddah: "I don't think you're suspicious right now because you highlighted the Stonemason clue in the write up. I don't think an evil player would have done that."

I've already explained, and you've probably missed the post, but I missed the deadline - which The Globe could confirm. By the time I realised that it wasn't 8pm, I joined and it was over anyway - as I stated earlier, had I realised, I may have voted differently.

Incidentally, if I was a wolf, I made a huge error in not realising the 6pm cut-off point. No-one knew at that point that The Globe would not have eliminated non-voters. Would have been a reaaaaally dumb move and one that anyone playing as a wolf would have done.
