What value two highly motivated young coaches that probably thought they'd be straight back to the u21's? You get the sense that he's motivated the whole backroom staff, not only the players
Frozen 2 made very little sense. Elsa's powers are seemingly limitless and the attempt to create some sort of mythology behind it was laboured, but it was fun and the snowman was funny. And Watford won. Having a roast now.
Highlights for me we Chalobah getting his arrogance back and Bournemouth's anti football being negated completely by VAR. A decent ref and no VAR checks were also welcome.
The man management from Big Nige was superb today - the way he hugged the substituted players including Sarr and tried to explain why he took them off was fantastic and not many prior Watford coaches have been doing that. Sarr, Doucs and Del all wanted to stay on but he wanted to show them that it wasn't down to their performance but the greater team. Sarr probably didn't understand a word and I think Nige told Doucs to explain it to him.
Played 22 points 22, now on target to stay up, well done Watford all very proud of you! Joint second in form team with Southampton to Liverpool after the last 5 games!. 4 wins 1 draw! We were the lowest scorers in the P.L. now joint lowest with Bournemouth and Palace!
Must say I thought Chalobah was excellent today as was Adam Masina. Capoue was my MOM, Sarr has such pace, doesn't shirk putting a tackle in and covering Mapps, Doucs was very good too. Troy did everything he does well and his leadership is vital. DelBoy was in and out today but again his pace and trickery was vital. Dawson won everything in the air today and was one of his best games. Bobby P even put a shift in and was tackling back. A team transformed.
Yes, and IIRC he was shouting encouragement to Sarr when he made a run down the right to set up the chance for one of our goals, that must make a difference, as opposed to a manager who just rants and raves or stands with his arms folded.
Another key point - our goal difference is starting to look much healthier now, could still be important come the end of the season. Villa's taking a battering at the mo as well.
Absolutely agree with all of that. And indeed shows the mouth breathers up the road that even in our darkest premier league days we are miles and years their masters
I noted on the Shoutbox today that it's interesting that Muff's downfall has lined up perfectly with the debut season of VAR. Not a coincidence, if you ask me.
Apparently Deeney had 28 touches in the first half with Callum Wilson only having 8, that really tells the story, they said Cathcart was also very low not sure could have been 18!
Can’t get over how good Dawson was. He was shocking early season but today he looked like a completely different player!
They've been on the slide since their purple patch at the start of last season when they hammered us 4-0, they were one of my predictions for relegation. Yet you still get reporters fawning over them over their wonderful football and their amazing manager whenever they put together any kind of form, as in this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49774330 It's for that reason if nothing else I'd love to see them go down, I don't have much against the club itself.
The only mystery is why some of the dives weren't booked. That Harry Wilson had a couple of shockers.
Less diving than they usually do, and they didn't bother to do their usual surrounding the ref to demand cards for their opponents.
Masina and Chobah were excellent today. Great to see these two performing. Great result and another 3 points towards safety. One or two decent additions wouldn't hurt in defence, even after recent results. Pearson and team doing a great job!
It's moog. Troy's alias on here is Moog. How else would he know we jibe him about his food? It's like a network of alias's.
as we know there is no shame in it. the top 2 are ******* leagues above everyone else Nothing in history compares
