Isn't it virtually compulsory for us to draw with Bournemouth? Hardly worth playing the match, really.
The only thing that worries me is thinking about when Newcastle beat us last season when we were flying (and had as many points after ten games as we do now!) after they hadn't won any of their first ten games. Surely there won't be a repeat this time though given how much more important this game is and we are facing weaker opponents?
The myth of little old Bournemouth fighting against the odds. Not mentioning their blatant breaking of FFP in order to get promotion.
Bournemouth are a horrible bunch of cheats, and it all comes from the manager. His twinkly-eyed, cool dad vibe is a complete fallacy and it’s very clear to see they have no plan B. I fully expect them to have shelled out on a couple of bang average Championship standard players by the time we play them, as is the norm. That said, the amount of falling over, rolling around and general belly aching by them towards referees has brought results before. As others have said, we have a penchant for reckless challenges and you’d expect Bournemouth to get lots of set plays. If we get Sarr and Del into the game 1v1 with their fullbacks, there’s every chance of another positive result. I’ll go 1-2.
Cleyhorn in Kelso shock! Great was worried you had died through lifestyle choices, gone to prison or been done in by an exotic lady friend. Just so you know I'm Moog.
Once Muff are relegated, that day will come this season or whenever, you will never hear from them again.
In the first week of November AFCB were in 7th place, seemingly challenging for European football next season. We were adrift at the bottom 7 points from safety. We are in no position to gloat, but their slide down the table has been quite spectacular.
@CleyHorn loved it. Great write up, full of stats, laughs and lots of detail. Well done for taking the time to write that up. My fave part had to be the Zimmer Frame Stadium. I must admit, last time I went to their ground it was like the Walking Dead TV Show. I know muff is famous for a retirement city but wow. Personally, the game could swing either way. I cannot see muff sacking Lego Head Howe, even if they lose their FA Cup game today. So we won't have to deal with a new manager bounce. Almost all of their side are reserves, as to their ongoing injury list, but they will see us as a big game to get back on track. Regardless of our previous good form, the lads will have to up for this one as much as they always have been in recent weeks. Pedro may even get a cameo at some point, which will be good to see. No Kabs or Kiko so a changed up defence again. I heard from the press conference that even Welbeck is back on his feet now. He probably won't feature for a while yet though. Wolves may of been seen as a "bonus" three points, as many did not think we would beat them, but that makes this game even more important. The teams around us keep picking up points so we cannot have much complacency. Should be a good game, shame I cannot make this one but I have the Shout Box to look forward too. Muff 0 Horns 2
We now have a very limited squad for the Muff game. Pereyra / Kabs suspended. Hughes injured. Kiko presumably a doubt/injured. Not sure about Chalobah. Gray rubbish.
Yep, you're right, we never learn, goes back to Angella's dismissal in the first minute there, no way will we finish the game without at least one red card.
So does anyone know if Kabasale is banned ? I guess Tranmere was game one of the ban and the replay this week will be the final game of the ban ?
Bournemouth 0-5 Watford I want to see Bournemouth fans crying as the reality of their impending relegation looms, knowing that they'll never return. Gutted that Kabasele is banned for the next 4 games.
1/5 of the transfer window gone and sod all accomplished. I don’t see a scenario where we are not relying on Dawson and Mariappa. Home win.
I think back 4 will be Mariappa and Cathcart at CB, Dawson on right and Masina on left. Not great but better than having Dawson in a middle pairing where he looks hopeless.
