Exactly what they did when he scored all the other previous important goals. Moan about a few misplaced passes and that he should have scored more.
It's good we seem to be linked with a fair few defenders so far this window, but we could really do with getting at least one in prior to this match. It's such a vital game, and at the moment our back four will at best be Masina, Cathcart, Mariappa, Femenia, and that's only if Femenia is able to recover in time. If not, then Dawson will have to play again and we'll end up starting with 3 of the back 4 that conceded 3 goals in the second half vs Tranmere.
More like: Exactly what they did when he scored all the other previous important goals. Grudgingly applaud what he has brought to the squad and consider that perhaps their previous comments on him had been overly harsh, before completely forgetting about it by the next game and resuming the unfettered vitriol.
Probably use it in an embarrassingly disingenuous manner to try and gaslight anyone with eyes who's ever watched football before into believing he's in any way worthy of playing for a Premier League team.
This. Agree totally. But to be fair the penalty was a rash challenge from a debutant and Bach was at fault for one too. I cannot believe I am saying this, but I really do hope Kiko is fit to start. Still a couple of days to recover but we'll probably know by Friday. It's amazing how Pearson has managed to turn him into a better player so quickly. Whatever is the back 3/4. I am sure we can cope with Muff's front line. Oh, and we always, always draw with them. So, take a point?
Yes, you have to go all the way back to October 2018 to get the previous non-drawn match. 15 long, long months ago. We were all just sperms in our fathers nutsacks.
I still have vivid memories of that game when Angella got sent off after about 2 minutes. Probably in my top 10 most frustrating Watford results.
Yeah reminds me of when we got a man sent off after 1 min at norwich a few years ago. I was on the train home before halftime.
Appealed and won! Is that only the second time VAR has been subsequently "overruled"? The other time being Son. https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/news-pereyra-appeal-successful
I think a fair few on here were by products of laboratory experiments rather than the more natural reproductive cycle.
Hey where is the Politics section? I saw some jokes about it but just realised it is really gone. What have you done? There are now about 30 of us milling around in this section unsupervised.
The Son red was mad. He had already booked him but changed after seeing the blokes leg. A peculiar way of officiating a game.
As said elsewhere I suspect it wasn't reviewed by VAR. Hence today's decision was able to be made more easily. The Son thing was all about 'emotion' and somewhat unique. Pereyra shouldn't have received a red card then. But he's certainly open to criticism for clearing off down the tunnel.
What an absolute half wit that man is. Extraordinary that he can maintain such an inept level for so long a period. More to the point, how on earth does he remain on the elite list? Are the other applicants all biscuits?
Graham Scott, Andy Madley, Simon Hooper, Jon Moss, Kevin Friend, Anthony Taylor, Lee Mason, Craig Pawson.....need I go on? It's a list of total ineptness. The scary thing is, these are considered the best of the best. It's just so depressing.
It’s more difficult than you would think. It is difficult to stay inept. I’ve managed it for 4 years in my current job, to stay inept. It could have been longer, but I accidentally made a correct decision one day that saved my company £100k.
The best refs from other countries. We already bring a lot of the best footballers over here and pay them way more than they'd earn in their domestic leagues, so why not the officials too?
I totally agree with this. This would cut out the big club bias and the anti-Watford feeling at a stroke.
