She'd be quick I suppose or was she a distance racer? However when I saw her she was in wedding weeds so that,in the words of Galton and Simpson "would slow her down a bit"!
Surely we will win this one in whatever filthy godawful attritional manner it takes. Its points on the board not flair when you are up against the Cardiffs of the league. We need to battle and hassle and ignore all the theatrics coming out way. 1-0 win we go away happy and back above Snake FC.
The performance at Everton was encouraging but we need to follow that up with a win here and potentially some winnable games in December.
12 points from their last 9 games. Much better form than us and gaining confidence, plus the Nigel x-factor. I think this game is a 50/50 call.
For the first time since we've come up this Season I don't question the fight or commitment in the team which is what we'll need in abundance against Cardiff who will fight tooth and nail. We need to be prepared for a scrappy game.
Pitting ourselves against Cardiff, we are the better side without doubt and with the home advantage. This is football though, and there are outside influences at play which the team can do very little about. This makes the game a bit of a lottery. All being equal, we should win this match comfortably. But if these outside fluences play out the way I'm anticipating, then it will be a very difficult match to win.
Surely the most relevant example is this from last season? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42410993 Same time of year, same calibre of opponent.
10 men behind the ball & Hoilett/Murphy hit us on the break in added time. I can almost hear the delayed reaction cheer from the Away enclosure now.
No Probs. There seemed to be some sort of active copy protection thing, may have caused a moan. Probably over cautious but better to be safe.
A bit of trickery in the box from Bobby P or Gerard leading to a stonewall pen. Gray to put it into the allotments.
Exactly. Although we could have argued that we were giving the photographer free exposure to the sizeable & influential Forums audience. Might have led to legal action & Keithley appears to be fully occupied with Somerset/Brexit matters for the time being.
What are people stressing about? Cardiff have picked up one point away from home all season (a 0-0 at Huddersfield on the first day). Our recent results have been a little disappointing but our form has been consistently good. Warnock's Boyos are getting their pants well and truly pulled down on Saturday. 4-0
If you can't see the difference between the way this side is playing under Javi and the poisonous atmosphere/team ethic under Silva a year ago, there's no hope for you. I don't mind - you spend the next few days having a good worry!
Of course there's a difference and who said I'm "worrying" ? I just don't think that its a given that we will win this. I assume you were equally confident we'd beat Fulham, Newcastle and Soton as a result of this difference ?
My two objectives for this game: - Three points really would be quite nice. - No atrocious refereeing decisions against us I feel objective one is within our grasp. I'd like to see Gerard out on the right, Quina starting in the middle and probably Deeney/Success again up front. Objective two may be a hope too far.
I am never totally confident of achieving an away win regardless of who we're playing. But at home against a side with Cardiff's away record I think more than a little optimism is in order and can't understand the mentality of the miserablebastards writing us off or, indeed, anticipating anything other than a Watford win this weekend
Dwi'n byw yn gogledd Cymru a dwi di bod yn Hornet ers un naw wyth pump. I pobol o'r gogledd mae Caerdydd yn drewi fel cachu. Ond, mae Caerdydd yn dinas bach taclys a da iawn i yfad cwrw Dwi'n meddwl nawn ni curo nhw saith dim There's my short Welsh write up, I thank you
You bugger. That was my first game since an abject Boxing Day defeat to Wolves under Joka, and it was such a crap game I left after 75 minutes, safe in the knowledge that even Watford couldn’t fail to see out 15 minutes against a dreadful Swansea side. Didn’t even know we lost until I got home. Dreadful. You just made me relive it.
I have a sense of foreboding on this one. Historically, we tend to trip ourselves up in this type of game. If Warnock is seething in his post match interview, moaning about our foreign player influx, the clear offsides for at least 3 of our goals, the soft penalty we got and Deeney’s foul play for his two goals, I will be happy.
Hornets under the pump? Hornets pumped up? Vowels & full stops presumably being rationed west of the border.
Going to be very cold, very wet and very windy on Saturday pm. Very Welsh weather. 1-2, Kabasele and Holebas making a mess of 2 long hopeful wind-affected punts upfield. Pereyra and Deulofeu playing in gloves, leg-warmers and bobble hats.
