Good Points: Fantastic Shout Box as always. Thought we outplayed and out matched them second half with some nice football. Quina was immense. He has got to get starts more often from now on, he has shown he can step up and really played out of his skin tonight, two massive thumbs up from me there. Deeney had a better game later on, made some good runs and had a few half chances. Foster - brilliant penalty save, that would of been game over had the other goals happened still. Thought everyone did O.K tonight, a good battling point against a side we always struggle against. Great fighting spirit to come back into it, take the lead and almost hold on. Have to give credit where it's due. Brings an end to our losing run - a bit of confidence for Cardiff. One point further from the relegation zone. Almost won it at the death had the pass gone to Deeney maybe? The travelling fans... well done. All I heard on the radio was the constant singing all game. Great support. Bad Points: Richarlison's goal should not of stood. It was terrible officiating AGAIN. Thought we were pretty poor overall first half. Everton were not much better to be fair but they edged it and although the goal was totally unjust, they deserved to lead at the break. It was a penalty no doubt, but Kabs.... what the hell? Idiot. Brainless decisions on both occasions and cost us two points could of been all three on another day if it wasn't for Foster's save. I know he is loved by many, but he has to get his head on the game and not do such stupid Sunday leauge mistakes in a professional sense. Totally unacceptable and I really hope the player's let him know that at FT because they had backs to the wall at the end all held strong and he let everyone down. Silva is still a Snake. Still hate his watch, Conclusion: It's a good result on paper for us, but to be so close and have it snatched away at the death,,, it's typical Watford. But I have to say well done to everyone tonight for such an improved second half showing. We proved we can play well but individual's need to stop doing brainless things which cost us valuable points. Still, a point gained and I'd rather draw than lose. On to Cardiff, and play like we did second half we should win - we really, really need to beat Cardiff now,
Just watching the penalty incident again. This time it’s made me chuckle just how comical Kabasele’s challenge is. He’s bizarre that man.
I said the same to Mr IBB,that he's our Sakho, always likely to mess up. That is a great quality, knowing your limitations. I just said exactly that to Arthur, who just carried on washing his paw.
Such was the complacency of Pozzo’s summer I actually hope Mariappa plays on Saturday as he seems the best option. The failure to upgrade our centre back options was an act of neglect. What progress can we make?
Carragher is thick as pigs ****. He doesn’t know any player names. He can’t remember any events that occurred and can’t articulate anything he is trying to say. That and the sound of 2ltrs of phlegm churning around his scouse gob should be enough to rule him out of being a pundit.
That free kick should never have come about. We broke away a minute or two before and Doucore should have just headed for the the corner. And then the throw on that lead to the ball coming, Chalobah had two players around him on the by line and should have kicked it off of them for it to be our throw. I still agree though that Doucore was at fault. He should have gone down from Keanes arm on him.
Kabasele is a bizarre player. He actually played pretty well tonight I thought, bar giving away a stupid penalty and then the stupid edge-of-area freekick of course. But he does it consistently. Like, every single game. I will be gutted if he starts again any time soon. I think once our anger dies down we'll recognise that as a great point on the road. Just galling to drop the full three at the death. Really pleased to see Quina do so well. I thought he played intelligently in that deeper cm role. I had assumed he was more of an attacking mid/ number ten type player. Never easy being a Watford fan is it.
You can only find one positive from that? Bloody hell. How about the way we went from a horrible decision against us and dominate after half time. There was only one team in it. Comments like this almost annoy me more than conceding in the last minute
Tbh he gets paid several thousand pounds to concentrate for 95 minutes, he doesn't deserve any sympathy.
With the right midfield around him, Quina could be quality. Shame but right result ultimately. Cathcart had a rare bad day.
Tough one to take having worked hard to get in front after some unfortunate bad luck with the first goal but then we cannot complain about the free kick at the end. Must be the 3rd season in a row Everton have scored late against us - last season's collapse and Barkley got a late one on the opening day under QSF. Quina and Sema did well coming and Success caused problems - if only he could pass!
Theres a lot of nonsense spouted here, caused by the frustration of conceding in the 95th minute. We are all Jose Holebas tonight.
It was a very good point on the road, just annoying we gave them an early Xmas present! The day we think it is easy will mean we are complacent, you have to earn and fight for every point in this league that's why its the best!
Disagree with that. We were shocking at retaining the ball for the last 5 minutes, playing stupid, careless passes which kept giving them the ball back and putting the pressure back on us. Our game management when we are leading is shocking
I do like The Mad Greek,he was dotty at the end, exactly as I would have been, albeit trashing rackets a plenty! B****r.
Entitled to your opinion, but it's not about possession when a decent side is throwing the kitchen sink at you for the last few minutes. Simple fact is, if Kabasele keeps his arms in a natural portion, we win today
And another moan. The match came across on Sky deathly silent, worse than Arsenal. I've stood and watched Sunday league games down the park with better atmospheres than the one which came across on telly. Was it really that poor live? Are Everton the new Arsenal?
Im not too unhappy about that tonight. We’re not getting any luck with decisions, but our first goal was lucky. Watford have always had a Kamakaze streak about them, so it was inevitable we’d conceded, to keep our winless run at Everton intact. A point is more than I expected before the match. Bad decisions are to be expected. Last minute goals are to be expected. It’s Watford, it’s what we do. 19 points more to get.
The sound was all over the place near the start. Seemed to me they lowered the mic sounds as you could clearly hear individual fans having a shout. A far cry from that Liberatores game last night where you could hardly hear the commentator.
Kabasele is an absolute liability and has been since Reading. Until he learns to defend properly for the full game with moments of utter madness he need to be dropped. Tonight he cost us a historic victory.
Guessing you will be gutted at having not won the game and, frankly, you'd be right to be. Everton maybe edged the 1st half but thought Watford were much better than us in the 2nd half and a win wouldn't have flattered you at all. First time in ages that we've looked fragile - Watford caused us more problems than anyone has in quite a while. Everton were really poor, but how much of that was down to us being terrible and you being good we will never know. Sorry. Hard to not sound patronising, but you deserved more than that. Crap result for both teams in some respects.
Come ON hb1,you can do better than that! There are bad decisions and then there are decisions that we are getting this season. Forgive me was it TC Tache that said we'd regret beating Spurs? Sage words indeed! Still b****r.
