Hopefully Shane Long plays he was woeful against Serbia for the Republic last night, Tadi* was no up to too much really either saying that.
To be honest Gray is most probably not going to come in and bang a bag full of goals in. However I think the work that he does off the ball has a positive influence on the way that we are able to play the game, even if he does not get a touch of the ball. The fact that Andre is pacey and runs in behind means the opposition will not push up giving our more technical players more space to play.
Really glad I read this thread. It's got me thinking about the lawn. Genuinely excited about giving it an autumn feed. Come On You Lawns
People who slag off Gray after 3 games are like dogs who pi$$ on the grass after the rain and make little brown patches on an otherwise lovely green lawn
Lawns are environmentally unfriendly and labour intensive. Dig them up and grow potatoes or broccoli.
Seconded - was dreading another long thread about beating this team or that, lawns and gardens now there is something I can get behind. We have a large infestation of hogweed (nasty little ******* - def the Bournemouth of the garden world) any suggestions on getting rid of it ? Lawn 1 hogweed 0 , winner in the last min
Just looked up Southampton to add some architecture into the thread , looks nice Edit But can't work out how to post any of the pictures using an iPad - so use your imagination
Why all the comments about lawns when the much more serious issue is the obvious fashion faux pas? Amazed our enthusiastic seeders and weeders have not recognised the heinous crime of wearing maroon and blue together ffs. Thought we Watford fans were in the forefront of classy fashion standards. Sooo 70's. No offence Meh! but Ugh! Nice little writeup btw. 1-1 Chalobah
Thanks for the reply and the information. Your idea of getting back to pwoper footie talk worked a treat didn't it. Goodness only knows what the Saints fans will have to say about this thread!
Was wondering how long it would be before one of our brighter members on this thread would know that Southampton is in fact not on the east coast, but on the south. Got fed up with waiting though.
First Premier League match for a long while without the presence of Amrabat. Where will we get the width and pace to stretch the Southampton left back from? If we keep a clean sheet it will be a draw, no goals in the squad
Southampton architecture No.1 Lawn Road, Southampton. You'd think that living in a road with a name like that, they'd take a bit more pride, wouldn't you? Some of the very worst definition of stepping stones I've seen in a very long time. Absolutely crying out for the Strimmer that is. Anyone can see that. The whole of lazy bone idle Hampshire should be ashamed.
And here's the kitchen. Feast your eyes on that little lot. Can't even be bothered to do the bloody washing up before the photographer comes round. £625 per month they want for it as well mind! If you please! Six hundred and twenty five pounds a MONTH! For one bedroom. And with a bald patchy lawn like that and last night's washing up mouldering and stinking in the stained old sink. Dirty lazy coastal bastards.
Sean Dyche, who everyone loves and respects, wanted to keep Gray which is more compelling evidence than writing him off after 3 games. The Burnley forum seem pretty thick if they are that astonished after they paid £9m and his goals got them promoted to untold riches and hopes of eternal lower mid table aspirations plus he's the only player in their history to score a premiership hattrick. I really hope players don't read this forum. But if they do for what it's worth I'll be supporting Gray at the Dell or whatever it's called on Saturday. COYH
Grout doesn't look cleaned in years, years of dirt build up below the oven door, can't be bothered to take a screwdriver to the cupboard door hinges and adjust the things ffs, and the fridge feet not adjusted so the side of the fridge is parallel with the cupboard side Southampton, everything that's wrong with kitchens
If I may be so bold as to recommend these little bad boys: https://fetch.co.uk/dog-rocks-lawn-...kcn1vWA8G3EcVyn5kaJIDLMjoYMsS_KcaAkhmEALw_wcB Obviously to throw at the people slagging off Gray.
Last refuge of the scoundrel : He may not be fast He may not score goals He may not have a first touch He may not be able to be a target man He may not be able to play football at all But, but... Look at where what he DOESNT do, look at the negative space! how he pulls defenders away much like and inanimate object would, a giant inflatable chicken or a scarecrow, so that others can do the actual footballing bits. That's his genius! that only true experts who appreciate invisible new expensive clothing for emperors know about Worse than elliington. You'll all be saying it soon enough. Division 2 player at best
Driving to Southampton via the east coast is a wonderfully scenic route. I'd suggest setting off around mid-day tomorrow. On another note I was with my mother at the Savill Garden in Windsor Great Park today. One of the lawns there was full of Yarrow (or it could have been Scentless Mayweed). So if the professionals are content to leave it alone then why not do the same? Unless you want to play croquet (I hardly think so Clive) or billiards on it of course. But then I thought this was a football forum. It'll be interesting to see who starts at CB and who starts ahead of the Doucoure/Challobah axis. I just hope that Marco goes for it just like against the Muff divers. Saints 1 'Orns 3
Maybe what we need is ten players like grey? 5 grays and 6 big iwelumos! That is the answer we'd be unbeatable. We may never touch the ball during 90 minutes, but for the football purist - perfect
I am in complete agreement. People just don't realise the impact eutrophication can have on wildlife.
I know it'll make me unpopular but a forward needs to score a goal and stop missing easy tap ins before I'll accept him
Mmmm - pink and blue, that's more 80's fashion and slightly more acceptable in Watford these days. Would def stand out in a sea of yellow on the terraces tho. Obviously younger than I thought.
A fair point. But it may make me equally unpopular to say that a striker deserves more than 2 games (in which he provided one assist and a big part in the buildup to another) for me to write him off.
It's Southampton away and for once I'm not worried about defending (Prodl or no) .... As I see it we will keep them on the back foot for ninety minutes and will sneak one scrappy goal and a worldie. Confident
