Burnley. Glamour tie for next season. Wonder if they will spend any money this time around?

Would rather them than Middlesbrough, just can't see Burnley staying up

Last time they sold their talent and spent nothing, I'm not so sure they'll do that again.

Shall we let them enjoy it for five minutes before we tip them to go down eh?

Dunno how I've seen this for the first time today but yeah I get you. I stupidly didn't follow my own advice on a correct prediction. FFS McGugan.

Also congrats to the man that ate my exhaust. Gonna be brilliant seeing him at the Vic again

Why? I'm sure other people said the same about us. They're a very average team but a very effective unit perfect for the Championship. Congrats to Dyche, not their scummy fans though, but they play horrible football and will struggle to stay up again unless they spend this time around.

Your first sentence answers your question for you

Good luck to them in the Prem

Ok, you've obviously got a soft spot for them....

If you could move Burnley's ground into an area that doesn't breed characters for The Jeremy Kyle Show I would be much happier about them coming up.

If Boro fail to win promotion and Norwich survive the relegation battle then Burnley will be the most northerly away match next season.

  15. Well done to plucky little Burnley and a condescending etc

Their chairman was on Talksport this morning saying last time they went up it cleared all the debts and allowed them to build knew training facilities so this time the can actually improve the squad. Still going to be tough I would think. I think Brighton, if they went up, would be ok. Might be easier to attract players

    1/0 Boro.

Brighton are set up too defensively. It's do or die, they should have all 11 of their players inside the Boro penalty area.

Knockaet booked so will he risk a another one trying to get a pen?

Knockaert welling up already. God knows what will happen if he missed a penalty.

I wanted Brighton to win but every time I hear that tw@ts name I can bring myself to cheer them on.

Haha, the commentators accuse Ramirez of milking it and there is a chunk of his shin missing!

Then again, he got the ball first!

Shame that red card happened (it was the correct decision) as Brighton seemed to go into their shell having just got back into it..

If Brighton know what's good for them they won't start Knockaert in the playoffs.

    Absolute liability.

The play-offs are a good thing generally, I get that but Brighton, on the same points as promoted Boro could lose out on promotion to a Wednesday side with a full 15 points less. 15 points! Leicester wouldn't have made a Europa spot with 15 points less. We would be in the top six with 15 more.

Probably been their best player in recent weeks..

Just don't trust him on pens!

I've always said the play offs should be competed between 3rd and 4th place in Championship and third ad fourth from bottom of Prem

I like the play-offs but I do think it kind of undermines the gruelling 46 game season, especially this season if Wednesday beat Brighton. It is nice when you're in a midtable position to still harbour ambitions of scraping into the play-offs though so I wouldn't want them completely eradicated.

    My idea would be:

    Quarter final: 5th vs 6th
Semi Final: 4th vs winner of QF
Final at Wembley: 3rd vs winner of SF

You still get the excitement of the play-offs but it gives the team who came in 3rd place a much better chance.

Burnley, Boro and potentially Hull/Sheffield promoted.

3 ****e teams to get promoted for a southern football fan. Pretty uninspiring tbh.

What does the team who finish 3rd do while they're waiting at least a fortnight for their opponent to be determined? I mean except lose match fitness compared to whoever it ends up being...

  32. 0-3 Hull. Derby bottle it bigtime.

    Another Derby choke.

    Imagine being a Derby fan!

2014, lose the play-off final to a last gasp goal.

2015, stay near the top all season then miss out on the playoffs by being thrashed at home on the last day.

2016, thrashed at home again in the play-off semi-final.

It would be enough to make me give up on football tbh.

Steve Bruce is a media tart. Mixing it with the pundits on Sky now when he should be in with his players congratulating them on their performance.

Hope we smash Hull and the fat ****er next season, if they go up.
