Rumour is there's a "to buy" clause on the loan. No official confirmation though, so i'd take that with a pinch of salt...
No point being able to keep Thomas Muller in your pocket if he can't keep the likes of Leon Best in there.
Another potentially large fee for a player we don't need + £400,000 right now and wages off the books for a year Great business from the club
The money we're receiving from from the Assombalonga deal and potentially from this deal is phenomenal work by the club. We also got a fee for Acuna and maybe £10m+ for Troy. The finances are looking very healthy indeed and the difference between the Pozzos and the last owner is just laughable!
I'm afraid I don't think we've seen Belk's true potential here and it's fair comment to say we should have held out for a squillion pounds.
Seem to be on the right track so far with transfers so far this season..... hopefully no Diakites, Parks or Neils to come
Like I said on that OTHER thread. This is an example of an excellent piece of business by the club. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp..._have_option_to_buy_Belkalem_for_around___2m/
He'll do well in the tinpot Turkish league and be sold to a Ligue 1 or Serie A club for €6M and then it'll be our fault, we should have just kept him and then sold him for the amount ourselves.
Will you change your mind if he has a great season for Trabzonspor and another team buys him for £5m?
Hopefully that won't be the case, otherwise we will get another 50 pages of HB1 spouting on about the Pozzos making another financial balls up!
Absurd, shocking, incredible, horrible. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/aug/24/striker-albert-ebosse-dies-hit-object-thrown-stands This happened at Kabilie, the club where Belk grew as a player.
