Can we not just all hold hands and press a little flesh regardless of the managerial situation?

True. I think it'd be naive to sack him though as it'd immediately annoy fans and he's done a good job.

I'm sure it'll be sorted sooner rather than later.

Dyche is only on a 1yr rolling contract isn't he? If so, the Pozzo's could get rid without paying any compensation.

I would. Football is about success, but it's also about how you do it.

I remember when Bassini was taking over, there were rumours that Sousa would replace Malky, and nothing came of it... so i wont believe anything untill it happens

I really hate 'directors of football' - I think they completley undermine the point of a manager

But my point is that with any takeover there are rumours involving managerial changes, so this might just be one of the many that dont happen, such as Sousa

yeah i agree with you. they work if the role is managed properly, we have ross wilson in the background working between the academy and the first team with nick cox, managing the scouts and doing the contracts etc - that works really well IMO and having listed to them all at fans forums. we dont need some italian director of football.

It will never work , two strong personalities will clash. It's either Dyche or A N Other.

Already tried, none of the bookies are taking bets on it anymore. I did ask if they had been in the past and apparently you could place a bet upto 3 days ago. I'm trying some of the smaller bookies to see if there's someone silly enough to take the bet!

Watford 40/1 to get promoted next season, as champions. Worth a cheeky fiver.

I got 50-1 yesterday. Prices will be slashed once it becomes certain.

I think top 6 would be a more prudent wager.

Yes, 50-1 as champions. But IF we do win the league, that will pay for next season's ST.

"There are contacts with Watford, so we'll see," Pozzo told gazzetta.it.

"Gianfranco Zola enters in the project, but it's too early to talk about it."

Story on Sky about Zola. From what Pozzo has said I fully expect Zola to take charge eventually.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11686/7825339/Pozzo-quiet-on-Zola-talk

Prospective Watford owner Gino Pozzo says it is too early to discuss suggestions that he will look to appoint Gianfranco Zola as the club's manager.

Watford confirmed on Monday that a deal has been agreed in principle for the Pozzo family to take over the Championship club from current owner Laurence Bassini.

The Pozzo family already owns Serie A side Udinese and Primera Liga club Granada, and is now ready to take a stake in English football.

Reports in Italy have claimed that the new owners will install former West Ham United boss Zola as the Hornets' manager to replace Sean Dyche.

However, while Pozzo appeared to suggest that his fellow Italian could be involved in the project, he did not want to expand on rumours Zola could become Watford boss.

"There are contacts with Watford, so we'll see," Pozzo told gazzetta.it.

"Gianfranco Zola enters in the project, but it's too early to talk about it."

Dyche took charge of first-team affairs at Watford last summer following Malky Mackay's departure to Cardiff City and he led the club to a respectable 11th-placed finish in the Championship.

    That the story Andy?

    Still available at Ladbrokes. 66/1.

I got 50/1 for us to win the league, and 14/1 to be promoted yesterday at Coral. Will probably try to have another bet after payday.

I've got £5 on promotion at 20/1 with Bet365 and £7.50 on Champions at 66/1 with Ladbrokes - £105 back if we get promoted and £607.50 back if we're Champions. That'd be nice...

Zola is a very good manager, he got West Ham to ninth in the Premier League before falling out with the Porno Dwarf.

I wonder what the odds were 2 days ago! Only 40/1 champions on sky bet now.

I imagine we will build slowly, not spend load ans get rpomoted straight away

Most just want the club to have a settled future with progress made on and off the pitch run by people with the football club in their best interests and not some powered ego who doesn't really care about us fans.

Zola, Gianluca Nani and now Scott Duxbury who could become CEO if the takeover goes through according to the Wobby. Duxbury was criticised for his role in the Carlos Tevez affair which cost West Ham United in excess of £30million.

One part of the takeover I am not happy about.
