Filbert mate, I know the feeling. Different circumstances I know (;)), but I've been here at my desk since this morning and have mustered around one page. The rest has been reliving yesterday via various internet resources!

By 4pm today I will be a free man, and I can finally celebrate Sunday's heroics.

Unfortunately 2 hours and 3 essays of Advanced Contract Law stand in my way. Ready to muster the spirit of Almunia.

I've got 2 friggin weeks left until my last batch of exams for this year. Then again I'm gonna be doing exams for the rest of my career if things go to plan so better get used to seeing this now

I want to be doing your degree so badly. Beats fraud risk management, which, on reflection sounds like the most boring thing in the world ever.

You should focus your entire studies on the best way to get away with fraud, and then become a millionaire fraudster

Global climate change exam tomorrow. Its times like these that Football Manager, alcohol and long walks in the countryside all seem like a massive waste of time. However, I have indulged in all three of these things today and still managed a hearty half hour revision session (whilst eating crisps and thinking about footy).

To be fair you are so right haha!

The work of Sutherland (1949) after all suggests that crime is learnt and not passed along generations as had been the universal opinion previously. In Cressey's (1973) fraud triangle we see that oppurtunity, pressure and rationalisation all have to be present in order to commit fraud, I think I will have a fair enough excuse in each area to commit fraud. I could go further by adopting the fraud diamond conceptualised by Wolfe and Herminson (2004) who add that capability plays a key role. As I am indeed studying the topic I think that does increase ones knowledge and thus capability :naughty:. The Albrecht fraud scale (1984) followed on from the work of Cressey and suggests that fraud risk was dependent upon three scales; 1. Pressure, 2. Oppurtunity and 3. Personal integrity. Hollinger and Clarke (1983) however shie away from this point of view and considered poor workplace conditions to contribute to an increase in fraud risk.

Apologies for trying to revise using a forum haha. Must be better than just procrastinating on here doing nothing!

Haha yeah the place no one knows of! It's like a mystery to everyone else at Trent haha. What do you study?

Saw a Leicester fan in the horn on Friday. Said I was a Watford fan and his friends laughed in his face and were chanting Deeney!

Geography, just finished my second year. If I'd got my head down in first year I would be graduating now, had to retake it last year though. It you used to be based in the city until a few years ago, if only they hadn't moved it here and travelling from town wasn't so bloody expensive. Worth living in countryside on glorious days like this though!

Luckily, my gang here aren't massively into their footy, although I do live with another Leicester fan, so we've been feeling very sorry for ourselves for last two weeks.

Best of luck with your results this summer, what are you studying/what did you study?

Did in my first year, tend to go out in Lincoln when I do because my girlfriend studies there.

Friday was the first night I've had in Notts in about a year. Living out here, it took an age for our taxi to turn up to get us there so we missed out on places we actually wanted to go to. So ended up in Oceana. There was a dwarf called Toddler Strider or something on stage, nodding his head and occasionally telling another bloke to play a record. Everyone seemed jolly excited by his presence.

Congratulations!! Throughout my education i've always thought that too - always surprised about how well the "bad" exams seem to turn out.

Saying that - the exam I had last month that I thought went badly... did. I got my results back on Friday and it turns out I ended up with 52% in that exam - so a low 2:2 - thankfully the coursework in that one brought it up to a 58. However thanks to mid-high 2:1s in the other exams, and somehow being awarded 80% in my 45 credit dissertation, my average ended up at 70.62%, meaning I somehow scraped a First - something I thought was long-gone. I could not believe it, and it still hasn't really sunk in.

First thing I did was go and buy £45 worth of champagne in the form of 4 bottles...

    1 for spraying.
1 for sharing with the housemates. (Yes, I was feeling that generous!)
    1 for myself.
& 1 for another day coming up.

I am thankful however that my academic education is done, and I won't have to partake in this thread again as one of those doing the exams unless I get lured into doing a masters, or have the odd exam to do in a future job.

I hope everyone else who had to sit exams got the results they were after!

Congrats Daft Row, especially doing it in Nottingham and coping with the nightlife and high % of female distractions. Enjoy your year out, you lucky b*****d.

    This raises an important question.

How the hell do you get 4 bottles of champagne for £45?
