Guidolin has said "If I am the problem, I’ll walk away. I suffer too much" after Udinese's home defeat against Torino today. Could we see a straight swap between the two clubs? Both manager's seem to have a good relationship with the Pozzos so may want to stay with them. Not sure if Guido would drop to this level but there has been suggestions that Zola could be a future Udinese manager. Just a suggestion.
Udinese will not take Zola if they feel he's not up to it at Watford. How would there fans react. Maybe Guidolin to us but I suppose there would still be a bitter taste in his mouth.
Indeed, what does a man with 25 years experience of managing at the highest level of Italian football know about anything.
The Pozzos might consider sending him here if they feel a change is needed at both Watford and Udinese, but I doubt very much if they'd send Zola the other way. He probably wouldn't be as tactically bereft as Zola, but while he gets to know Championship football, he'd probably make many of the same mistakes, such as not respecting the 'lesser' sides and using such games as an opportunity to rotate the squad. Managers need time, and I'd still be right behind Zola if I thought he had a bit of tactical flare. Guidolin is 58. Is he going to want to stick around long enough to build something, even if we're patient with him while he finds his feet in this division?
Guidolin......hmmm....I'm sure our ex-Udinese players will be happy to have the manager that didn't rate them back as their manager.
Not sure if that was a dig at my post or not. To clarify that's not my view but it would be for some on here.
Zola and Guidolin could stay at each other's houses with the opposite wife / family etc and make a tv show about it for Channel 5.
Kind of like when Zola didn't rate Anya and he was on the bench all the time. If Guidolin didn't rate them, it's because they weren't good enough. If they're not prepared to prove him wrong, then they're not the type of players that I want at the club. Give Guidolin a chance ffs. I know he'll come good.
