Fulham have had a bid rejected for him by Posh and he does look destined for Prem football, but it wouldn't do us harm to go in for him. He did rip us to pieces when we played them away and has a record of 13 in 28 games. He's actually done really well in this league and his goal:game ratio would mean that in a full season of 46 games he'd score 21 goals. Imagine how many goals he'd score if people like Abdi were supplying him with balls. If Vydra were to leave, I'd like us to go in for this guy. Plus he's also from Walthamstow so it's not too far away from here and we could use that to our advantage
To continue my presence on this thread what about Sebastien Squillaci? He would be a very good CB (imagine him, Hoban and Ekstrand as our CB triplet), would live nearby so distance ain't a problem and maybe we could get Almunia to put in a good word if we are keeping him (which I hope we are). Obviously the problem would be wahages but it wouldn't hurt to try
Sign Benayoun as a free agent. His contract at Chelsea has run up and it would be amazing if we could sign him.
Arshavin really? He is going to end up in Azerbaijan or Russia, Benayoun no idea, and Ben Haim will not take a massive wage drop, probably leave England now
If I was given a manager's post and my objective was to send the club into administration as quickly as possible signing Ben Haim would be the first thing I'd do.
Niall Canavan from S****horpe, decent young centre half, not small either, scored a few last year, only one I can think of to fit the pozzo model
Danny Simpson on a free would be excellent, quick, decent on the ball, works hard and can play left back as well as naturally on the right. Di Santo could also get us 10-15 goals in this league I think.

John Bostock Not a rumour more of a maybe, John Bostock is a player who was very highly rated as a youngster and has never really kicked on. He is still only 21 years old and has been released on a free transfer, he seems to be a Pozzo player young potential but lost his way slightly for whatever reason.

Perfect example of a player being too keen and wanting it all now. Badly advised over his move to Spurs. Should have stayed at Palace and nurtured his career until he was ready to move up. Now I think he's all washed up and that's a big shame. He was even on loan to my other club Toronto FC last season, didn't pull up any trees for them either and they waivered his loan early. If you can't cut it in the MLS, then it doesn't really bode too well.
Similar career path to Harry Forrester. Promised the earth with a big move to Spurs, on reflection probably would have been better off staying at Palace.
Bostok won't be touched by a barge pole in this league. Forrester will be though. Linked with several clubs in this league and he's made a lot of progress since playing for Brentford
