Baadiff 2-0 down though. The collapse starts here for the Scarlet Dragons or whatever they're called this week.
Makes last night so much more frustrating! Oh well, we need to make sure we put the game to bed early on Tuesday as Hull and palace play each other. Could be worse, Blackburn are losing 3-0 at home to Peterborough!
For various reasons, I have not made it to as many away games as usual this season. The six I have attended so far are: Derby (L) Blackpool (D) Burnley (D) Man City (L) Bristol City (L) Wolves (D) See the pattern? In fact we have won all our other away games except: Bolton Cardiff Blackburn
Where are you seeing that ED? It still shows Dull only 2-0 up where I'm looking and that's a betting site which is usually bang up to date...
Good points made here and in you earlier longer post. But, this is why I believe the substitutions have often been too late. I think that, as well as addressing issues in the game, I also think they should be used as part of the rotation policy. That is to give players like Hey Ho and FF more game time and Vydra and Deeney, more of a break. We rely too much on the latter two, and I feel that we do have 4 players at least, that could develop decent striking partnerships in different combinations. FF knows that he is generally used now only as a 2nd string option, and I personally think that has affected his confidence, meaning that he snatched at those chances yesterday - a feeling that he maybe HAD to score, extra pressure and a lack of confidence. If he had played all the 2nd half, he may have got 4 chances and scored 1, confidence back. Think how FF will feel if he gets 10 minutes on Tuesday evening, and the ball lands at his feet in front of goal. Like many others on these boards, I like to play manager whilst sitting in my armchair at home. Unlike some on here, if we win, I still look for ways we could improve, just the same as is we lose or draw. Similarly, if we go up, in my mind it doesn't mean that Zola got it "spot on". Neither do I believe that Zola would think he got everything spot on. We can always improve in everything we do. Some like to sit back and "enjoy the ride" and keep telling everybody else to do the same. That isn't for me!
We've played the bottom two in recent weeks and come away with one point. Bristol City we were too complacent with our team selection and last night we simply weren't ruthless enough and that could end up costing us. Hearing Zola in his interview say he 'thought the game was already won' was quite incredible, very naive and also a touch arrogant.
Does it? What exactly does it say? He's 24 for goodness sake, and in his second season in the first team in the Championship!
Exactly what I was thinking. If we want 2nd place then we really should be winning games like that. Absolutely no question.
