Suppose there is a case to be made that there is more pressure playing for us in that there is more competition for places and also the expectation for this team is promotion.

I think that was a factor in why Man U sent Garner to us rather than one of the other EFL clubs where he may actually be more certain to start like Blackburn who also enquired.

probably Reiss Nelson - we already have one right-winger shoe-horned in to a position which they're not comfortable in, so why not add another?!

 

Not heard anything. Just generally once we're in talks we'll go through a process of identifying other targets once they 'vet' us. Wouldn't shock me if we try and get one of their young attacking players.

 

Were we in talks though with Arsenal for Saliba? But agreed that it would make a lot of sense (on our end at least) to bring in Nelson, Smith-Rowe or Willock on loan, should Arsenal be willing to send any of those out.

At least that would mean none of the other promotion contenders who perhaps might need him more will get him.
