So after all that pinning their colours to the mast yesterday, the picture is getting a little clearer.

    OUT
Deulofeu - says he wants to go
    Welbeck - wants to go
Pereyra - strangely nothing has been said, but clearly will be gone
    Dahlberg - out on loan
Suarez - agent tweeted he'll be playing somewhere better
    Doucoure - wants to go
Pussetto - going back to Udinese
Masina - maybe going to Genoa
Kiko - maybe going to Valencia

    IN
Foster - unknown, but seems to be prepared to stay
Sarr - happy to stay, but could be sold for the right price
    Deeney - wants to stay
Estupinan - however unlikely, it appears he will be playing for us.

The biggest losses for me would be Geri, Suarez and Welbeck. If Sarr does stay, then that mitigates the loss of Deulofeu to a degree.

Welbeck and Suarez are almost players we never had anyway, but they would still be a massive loss to us, if they do leave. Either of them would have been such quality in the Championship and would have given us a very good chance of bouncing back immediately.

If all these players go, then we do have to be active in the transfer market ourselves. We cannot rely on Deeney, Gray and Success as being the front line. We need more quality than that. We would need better options as backup in the full back areas, another midfielder, a quality central defender and a good number 2 keeper.

I take it this is from the Athletic article? If so I would suggest a pinch of salt needs to be applied. Suarez's agent. Hmmm doesn't necessarily mean much does it?

I have to say I'm staggered that it's more likely Estupinan plays for us than Suarez. Leventhal seems to be correct in saying Estupinan is quarantining at the moment, as he posted video of himself on an exercise bike in a hotel room yesterday with the caption 'pre-season'. If Suarez does indeed go we must bring in another striker.

Yeah. I would rather keep Estupinan tbh, at least he's proved himself in a decent league. Interesting times ahead. Wouldn't be too downhearted though, we're clear favourites to win the league and odds on to finish in the top 6. I still fail to see the logic in Pozzo not assembling a squad that is strong enough to seriously push for promotion. It makes no sense financially.

Regardless of whether he stays (the original tweet which was then deleted make it very clear he won't), hes currently in Spain so won't be available to start the season anyway

With relegated clubs the immediate attention is always on the outgoings. It’s totally normal that right now the prevailing mood is one of unease because it feels as if every day brings yet more news of people wanting to leave. Bournemouth are experiencing the same.

But there will be incomings too for sure. Once players go, new signings will start being the order of the day. Just got to be patient.

We don't know for sure when that picture was taken, but it does bring into question Leventhal's knowledge about the situation as he said Suarez is due at the training ground this week.

I think he arrived here to start pre-season, but in order to immerse himself in British culture he immediately booked a package holiday to Spain.

True. The press are always going to focus on which misfits go back to Italy/Spain or who from the team will get picked off by PL sides. Signings will come and Ngakia is a decent start. Hopefully there will be a decent 4-5 more to freshen things up...whether any more are needed then depends on who is sold.

Norwich have been very busy. Got something like 8 new signings and a squad that looks massive. They probably need 1-2 more too but there will be a lot of departures and loans from there for sure.

Probably would be bottom half, so I'm actually quite relieved. That's probably the worst case scenario team, but I don't think we'd be relegated with it.

I wouldn’t read too much into that alleged tweet from the agent. We don’t even know if it was real. Leventhal has emphasised that he is a key part of our plan for next season. It could be that the agent is agitating for a move and his agent fee, but that won’t matter that much if the club stands firm.

There was a report this morning that Atletico Madrid are interested in him but that we have set his price at €50m. If they came up with that cash I think we’d sell but I don’t think we’re going to be selling on the cheap to a bottom half La Liga team.

No one has mentioned him, but I wonder if we’ll bring back Matheus Aias as our backup striker. Also on loan in La Liga 2. Didn’t play too much in the league but was very very good in the Copa Del Ray, scoring 6 goals as Mirandes reached the semifinals. A goal every 115 mins.

In an ideal world I would sell-

    Doucoure 25m
    Pererya 10m
    Gray 7.5 m
    Kabasele 7.5 m
    Sinclair free
    Navarro free
    Bachman 2.5 m

Would loan Deulofeu (recall on promotion- loan fee 5 m) or sell Welbeck for 5 m

55 million saved. Plus wages. Retain a good mix of youth, experience and last-chance salooner's.

    Squad

    G
    Foster
    New signing
    Youth Gk

    RB
    Janmaat
    Femenia
    Ngakia

    LB
    Masina
    Estupinan
    Femenia (cover)

    CB

    Dawson
    Cathcart
    Wilmot
    New signing

    Cm

    Capoue
    Chalobah
    Hughes
    Cleverly
    Quina
    Dele-Bashiru

    RW
    Sarr
    Pussetto

    LW
    Welbeck/ Deulofeu or quality loanee
    Sema

    F
    Troy
    Suarez
    EPL Loanee
    Cucho (January)
    Pedro

So we're gonna need a minimum of 3 new signings.

Difficult to tell whether Success and Peneranda will stay around. Doubt Ilic would take to kindly to their previous antics. Maybe cash in on both- add 10-15 m onto income and you've potentially made 70mil. Re- invest 20 million in a good young center back and a couple of exciting loanees looking to prove themselves and bobs yer uncle. Easy innit.

I know you say 'in an ideal world', but some of those fees are cloud cuckoo land stuff. If anywhere, Bachmann will probably go up to Scotland again, clubs like Kilmarnock might not even have £2.5m in their total transfer budget, let alone to spend on one player, and £7.5m for Kabasele is quite optimistic, somewhere around £5m would be more realistic. Think we might make use out of Navarro, we'll need someone to stand in for Ngakia if he's injured or has to play centre back if Janmaat isn't going to be fit and Femenia is off. Pussetto looks to be off too for about £7m back to Udinese too

Is this fella under contract? How long for? Are his wages high? If the answers are 'Yes, 2 or more years, and no' respectively and if we think he is good enough, then his agent can whistle Dixie.

Tbf I did say 'in an ideal world', basically 'best case scenario'.

I completely disagree re Kabasele. He is 29, played lots of games in the EPL and tbf when he's been good, he's been really good. Often against very good teams. Out of all our CBs I can see him being highly rated by those not at Watford. I imagine his 'highlight- reel' could make him look pretty exceptional. I can 100% see someone coming in for him at 7.5 million, thinking there's 3 good years in him. Similar for Femenia, I think we're definitely underestimating how much someone will pay for him.

Maybe 2.5 is slightly OTT for Bachmann- I'm not sure, really depends who would be interested.

Hopefully newly-promoted teams start sniffing around. That'll push the value up.

If I was Pozzo, I'd be aiming for 30 million for Doucoure and Deulofeu. Reckon we'd get close to that. That's an alternative way of looking at things.

On the flip side. I've probably overvalued Success and Peneranda, along with Navarro they've not proved themselves at all. Ivic may get something out of them, however.

Class player, wrong attitude for the Championship. A bit like Deulofeu- would know he's far too good for that level.

We're asking for £25m+ for Doucs, what those add-ons amount to, and how they'll be activated is anyone's guess. Deulofeu for obvious reasons will be a difficult deal to sort out, I think if we get £20m we've done well under the current circumstances. May well have to be a loan away initially, which would be a bugger as we could very much do with the full fee now. Hopefully a Prem club like Fulham will come in with a bid of around £7.5m for Kabasele, but more realistically, he'll go back to Belgium for a lower fee (if we can get rid of him at all). God knows how much we can get for Success and Penaranda, be lucky to get half of their initial fees at this stage

May be better off keeping them and seeing if they can make an impact. Got a feeling Peneranda would either be amazing or dog ****. I think we know Success has some potential, it's whether Ivic can get his head right.

We'll see. I think 20 million would be a really disappointing fee for Deulofeu, considering his ability, age and experience.

Maybe these players have got ridiculous relegation release clauses. Certainly wouldn't be surprised!
