Brilliant, time for your lawyers do something worthwhile simpson other than have message boards closed down.
The FA certainly won't do anything as it's not their jurisdiction. It's a Premier League issue. They are the hot air blowing body who will do nothing.
why should our lawyers get invoved? let the other clubs pay for any court case - all sour grapes IMO. If their is a breach then the lawyers aren't needed the premiership will deal with. Staying up by default is not success.
Staying up by any legitimate means is much more than success, it is our destiny. As a plc I hope that the directors and management are taking every step to fight for our premiership survival - both on and off the field.
and squander hundreds and thousands in legal costs - there are plenty of other teams who can fight the battle - we had Junior remember - that got brushed aside. If there is any vadility in there will be a premiership enquiry - a court case could go on for two years - how will that affect league status and pssibly bring chaos to the whole set up. Far too much wishful thinking.
He never played a competitive game for us so no rule breaking took place Paddy. Interesting though that apparently it was Wigan who kicked off this enquiry with some specific questions. What I don't get is this though. Mascherano needs special dispensation to move on loan to Liverpool, because that would be the third club he's played for this 2006/7 season (Corinthians, Wet Spam and Scouse). Fine. Yet Jon Stead has played for Sunderland, Derby County and now Sheff Utd this season (two permanent, one loan just like Mascherano) yet no one says anything?? How does that work?
Regarding the point "never played a competitive game" - I assume he was getting paid- it is an offence to pay an illegal worker. Do you agree? £5,000 maximum fine to the employer.
Somehwre in Europe i think - maybe Norway or sweden but cannot be sure about it. Shame as he was a pretty good player. UEA - Junior did however play and score many goals for Walsall and i think he played for Derby in competitive matches - what about that?
Contract would have been cancelled so he wouldn't have been paid anything I don't expect. The point I was trying to make mate was that football's rules on these things don't kick in until competitive matches take place. I'm sure he had the correct paperwork then. Plus the Football League can hardly punish a club for having an incorrectly registered player when they themselves have ok'd it!
Lol! Well you'd expect the press to miss it on a player like Stead but surely the registration departments at the FAPL/FL/FA must have spotted it?
I was just trying to find a player picture for FM 2007 and guess who turned up in my scouring of the net? Mr Junior himself... http://www.answers.com/topic/jos-luiz-guimar-es-sanabio-j-nior Now playing for Malmo in Sweden. It's a slight irony that after his passport problems which the Danish immigration highlighted he ended up playing that season in Denmark. Oddness!
