I think he should keep Young unless an offer of £6,000,000/£7,000,000 comes in...if this happens then we should look to sign Earnshaw from Norwich for £3,000,000 and offer Francis in exchange! I think if we are truely aiming for survival we should sign: 3M budget left. Put it all on Earnshaw with Francis as an exchange. We still need a striker who we know can score goals. 2 leagues is a huge step up for Hoskins, even though I think he will do well. If not, perhaps Alan Smith on loan? If we sell Young for 8M and plan to stay up: Earnshaw 4M Richardson 2M Hendrie 450k If we're building for next season and still have Young: Spend it all on Foster. I don't believe we need a left back right now. Stewart and Powell will do the job for us until the summer, and Parkes can hopefully step up next season. We still need one more striker, though - as I see Moses as more of a future talent. Personally, I would love to see Collins John in a Watford shirt. He reminds me of Marlon ;D Can't understand why people hate him based on his negotiations. Everyone with his head straight would do that when there are several interested parties. Earnshaw would be a nice signing if John falls through, although I think he's a bit expensive at £4M ++. If Ash leaves, we need to cover with one or two Premiership players. Routledge and Davenport would be great, but I can't see them signing for us Hoskins looks like an interesting prospect, although I was actually hoping for Billy Sharp. Let's hope Williamson is up for it as well.
Blimey nearly forgot about him. Well actually we will have to see as he might not be the same player after his injury. I really really really hope he is as I love the fella but still its a concern. I think Lisbie would do well for us at Championship level. And yes I think he would be worth £1.5million as hes only about 27 so should be in the peak of his career (although admittedly he hasn't looked great). But Aidy is a specialist at bringing people who were once reasonably good back to their best. Too true
As I understand it it's not one of those career threatening knee injuries, it's not like the whole thing was mangled. It just has a long recovery time which leaves us without him for ages. He should be alright coming back.
