I remember the days we sat in the Vic took yellow n black balloons, ripped up yellow pages, inflatables and sang.........atmosphere still died after 10 mins!

I also remember Tranmere at home 98/99 I think we were on a crap run, Mooney missed a pen after 20 mins but there was an atmosphere from the pitch saying it don't matter we're gonna win this and that rubbed off on the crowd we were vocal for the next 70 mins, John Aldridge had a fight with a bloke in the family enclosure and Alan Smart got sent off for being punched in the face. We won that day the atmosphere was immense and that carried on until we got promotion to the Premier league.

I also remember Middleboro' away the last away game of the Premier league 99/00 we took banners, inflatables, balloons "There's only one Pooh Bear" and the partied started from the minute the turnstiles opened until we were asked to leave the ground, we had a massive congar line going round the stand and sang for whole time even getting our own spot on match of day.

My point is away from home we normally (my experience) are amazing but at home not so, to the point mourners get confussed as to which is the graveyard and which is the ground, it's been the same for 20 years, unless you can get all the singers and partiers together it's never going to be the Kop or the Stadium of light. Sometime we need that spark from the players and we just don't seem to be getting it.

Forget your super groups, just keep singing the songs, make up a song sheet and get it put in a fanzine or a website, so everyone knows the songs, and just keep trying. it may not be a hooligan thing, but that doesn't stop the idiots from starting trouble and using the guise of the "Ultras" or whatever to turn things sour very quickly.Lets just be the best fans we can be by being as vocal as we can and if the mardy ass two rows in front doesn't join in stuff him! Everyone has the right to be the support the club their own way.

lol -the canut won $10.40 for winning out of 1,270 entry list, i got $6...

but i will tell him - good win today, now we r only 5 points from a play off again - good start, sink a little in oct/nov and come good fort he middle and final push -

don't know i was in the shoutbox with other great supporters like KJ, puds etc etc. I didn't renew the ST as i can't stand the p oxymorons at the back of the rookery booing and jeering and telling the players to uck off all the time ( some of the lads are good s[pporters, but too many are stupid lil twerps or basic braindeads) who can't enjoy the facts that wfc have been damn successful over the last 30 years for a poxy lil suburbsn side with gates of 14k and turnover of 10m squids a year..

Away games tho - love em.

from looking at the facebook page, it seems the club have told the ultras that if they want the club to work with them then they will need to change their name! :biggrin:

While the whole Ultras thing is w*nk. I respect these lads for trying to get a bit of atmosphere at the Vic and away games.

 

You never know it could become as famous as the Tartan Army.

Look I can see the similarities with both supporting sh1te football teams etc.

 

I think a group should be formed that has rod stewart haircuts, flares up to your shins, Doc Martens, Denim cut offs with patches sewn on, scarfes tied round yer wrists and call it the Watford Boot boys. I think itl catch on.

 

Surely this would only take off in the Upper Rous :]]
