Sublime is a very generous characterisation, probably arising solely from the shock of a competent act in comparison to pretty much everything else he's done in our colours. The pass itself was competent; what was needed; decent, even, if you like. It was also into empty space - hardly dissecting a massed defence with a moment of genius.

Need to rotate a bit, some players have been playing too many minutes imo:
Bachmann; Ngakia, Sierralta, Wilmot, Lazaar; Hughes, Gosling, Cleverley; Zinckernagel, Perica, Sema

Sarr and Kiko to save the day if we’re struggling.
Hungbo and Phillips to get some experience if we’re a couple of goals up with 10-15 to go (less likely than the scenario above!).

I think The Kid will mix things up in attack.

Sarr will be a number 9 with Clevs as a number 10. Sema and Zink will be on the wings. Grey or Perica will be brought on with 10 minutes left on the clock.

    5-3. Sarr all five

    Ngakia WTE Sierallta Masina
    --Gosling Hughes Clevs
    ------Zink Perica Sarr

The only players who look in need of a rest are Sema and maybe Kiko. JP and Chaobah are getting a forced rest. Full steam ahead elsewhere, no complacency, buff the GD a bit if we can. If we're a few goals up we have 5 subs to use and can haul Sarr, Clevs, Hughes etc off once the game is won, if we are afforded the luxury.

Better to have the game won than brining lads off the bench as its still 0-0 with 20mins left scrambling to win it.

Midfield only changed because of Chalobah’s suspension. Perica only in because of Pedro’s.
I think Wilmot should be given a chance next to Sierralta regardless of opposition.
The only real changes for the sake of rotation are the fullbacks and Sarr, who I think all need a game off.

And I know it may look like complacency, but if it did end in defeat, that’s still a better outcome than over-playing certain players, who pick up injuries. If Sarr pulls his hammy we won’t win our next 10 games at least.

    Spot on.
Gray and Deeney have both been playing far too many minutes.

I wonder what the Shoutbox would have been like at half time and full time in that Blackpool game?

    Such a contrast!

I can't see him steppin' out for us, fortunately.
    Hopefully a happy ending tonight.

I can tell you what is was like at the ground. HT was like a mortem of dead souls, total dis believing in how were 2 goals down to the whipping boys. Quite a few boo's rang out. FT was more relief than jubilation.

    1. They should never have got 2, our defence is crap
    2. We should have had 10, our attack is crap

Remember Bristol City away under Zola when we changed too many players in one game. Rotation is fine but one or two at a time and definitely not Sarr. If we go 3-0 up after an hour then give him a break

The smart thing to do would be to give Sema a rest and give Zinck his starting berth. We will find out whether Xisco is at all smart in about 5 minutes, though...

    Of course Gray starts ffs.

At least Zinckernagel is finally getting a start as well... out of position, of course.

Achieves the triplicate failings of playing Zinckernagel in the wrong position, not giving Sema the rest he clearly needs and giving Gray the time of day. Impressive.

Haha, who could've predicted that Lazaar wouldn't be able to cope with playing 20 minutes and has now disappeared from the squad?

Lazaar and Gosling mustn't be fit - shock horror.

Never know, could be Sema in the middle and Zinckernagel on the wing (I know it won't be)

Also to note that if we want a midfield sub, it's Wilmot, or Fuuk-In-Nowan. If we need two, your guess is as good as mine. #Recruitment

Zinckernagel joined and said "My best position is on the right and then as a second striker" and has the unbelievable stats to prove it.

So not left wing and not central midfield...the only positions he's played so far. Baffling.

Was too busy laughing at the Lazaar absence, didn't even spot Gosling wasn't there either! Can't wait until we sign Carlos Sanchez.

Glad Zinckernagel is starting but please don’t be playing him as a CM. If anything, bring Sema inside and put Zinckernagel on the left.

Think we may have to accept Perica is crap ladies and gents. I mean, we all had our suspicions but he can’t buy a game which kinda confirms it.

I presume today will be behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1, to be fair. I'd still rather see him on the wing.

    WAIT!!!!

Is that Sir Isaac Success who has crept on to the bench with zero fanfare from the clubs social media???

I'm fine with that. Without Pedro I wasn't too bothered who would start as neither Gray or Perica look any good. Glad that Zinc is given a chance. Is he any good on free kicks?
