Don't think he is crap but always seemed to be looking for a square or backwards ball.,.Needed to get Louza or somebody else inodfield on the ball. Happened as soon as Asprilla came on and gave Louza more room to perform..Wasn't sure about the subs, bit saw the reason and they all worked today ..Great win and good management if a tricky fixture..

Hopefully it evens out . Against Coventry Porteous was definitely pushed in the face when he stupidly went down for their third goal, and of course the penalty decision against us which even Coventry fans say was a terrible decision .

Probably a pre-meditated move with Lewis on his way back to fitness. Morris is good defensively, never let us down in that regard (apart from possibly Stoke away), as second choices in this division I'd say he's fine, but Lewis will add another dimension to us this season

Even the cross for the goal wasn't exactly a good one, it went behind Rajovic who did magnificently! Not that Asprilla will be complaining, he's put in myriads of good balls that have led to nothing in his time with us!

Have we had a scorer before whose Father also scored for us as in Ryan and Wayne Andrew’s?

Did Andrews get the goal then? Looked like it was going wide before the deflection.

Quite a poetic match, with Luther being introduced before kick off. I remember 40 years ago we played Birmingham and Luther scored the winner in the 90th minute in a 2-1 win.

Last minute wins are always the most satisfactory. Totally deserved too. We were the better side but looked toothless up front, as been the case for most of this season.

I thought virtually everyone had good or very good games, apart from Rajovic who I thought was poor and he was easy for the Birmingham defence to contain, yet he ends up scoring a Helguson-esk header to win the match.

Delighted for Andrews to score his first professional goal, albeit with a slight deflection.

Brum were thuggish throughout and it was no surprise they picked up a red for a two yellow card offence. That changed the game too, but being so late I wasn’t convinced there was enough time to take advantage, but gleefully there was.

Can’t remember when we scored twice in the 90th minute, but I think we did that against United in that 4-1 win.

Bachmann had a couple of hairy moments with his feet but his saves were top drawer. He was alive in the first minute to make a good save and that double save late in the game gave us the platform to go on and win. That was so important.

Really like TDB. He’s developing in every match and is going to be a big asset if he stays fit. No Bayo even on the bench. So we only had one striker to pick from which was a surprise.

Lewis looked decent and will be good for us.

Had it stayed 0-0 I would have thought it was another missed opportunity, but we didn’t do enough to score. Luckily that moment of madness from Buchanan opened up the game in Watford’s favour.

Echo everything on here, very close to being like Blackburn if it wasn’t for Bachmann.

Lots of the ball again and feel that will be a recurring theme this season, defensively pretty sound again, the defence doesn’t fill you with confidence when you watch them but they do seem to keep being solid (Blackburn aside!)

Lewis will make a world of difference, he’s much more comfortable coming into midfield and receiving the ball, could end up being our most important player. I like Morris as a lad and what he represents but he’s not good enough.

Thought Rajovic’s general hold up play was actually pretty good, Long is a strong ugly defender and Rajovic didn’t seem surprised. He did however seem a bit slow to respond sometimes, think he’ll learn the pace of things quickly though. It’s a brilliant header and really difficult to execute so fair play to him.

Asprilla bright and that bit of chaos we need, Ince wasn’t great.

Martins has come on leaps and really could be useful if he continues to grow like this, really happy for him.

Buzzing for Andrews he looked so happy, that’s what our Academy is all about!!

Glad to have some feel good around with last minute goals and the way the team/bench celebrated the goals really says a lot, much, much improved team spirit so credit to Ismael & co for that.

Big week coming up, six points from this week would be a fantastic return.

Our passing from the back will undoubtedly cost us goals this season but it’s also crucial to some of our attacks; some of the triangles we played, having drawn out their players from pressing us gave us space to actually create a decent looking attack but for some reason we just didn’t do anything with it. Yes, some of the passing round the back (can we not ever remember that Cruyff turn from Bachmann please) was very questionable but we’re not gonna change how we play so we better get used to it.

Bachmanns passing was terrible mostly but he saved us today. Ngakia looks like a different player this season. Porteous shaky at times but generally solid, Hoedt the same, Morris I thought was alright but guaranteed to be second fiddle when Lewis is properly up to scratch.

Sierralta was my man of the match to be honest, solid as a rock, generally neat enough passing and got forward to fill the gaps left by movement by other players, a bewildering development of a player but I’m not complaining. Louza tries too much sometimes but thought he was alright, TDB continues to impress, similar to Sierralta in how he’s progressed.

Ince was dreadful attacking but his tracking back was brilliant. Martins is similar to Louza, tries to do too much and should’ve ran at the scummer right back more after the early booking.

Mileta was awful overall, couldn’t trap cement, couldn’t pass wind, but he scored so who really cares.

Subs were all spot on, Asprilla changed the game as he petrified their left back, ultimately causing the red card. Kone had his best game this season, what a moment for Andrews, yes massive deflection but a goals a goal. Can’t remember the last time I watched us play Birmingham and thought ‘they look pretty good you know’ but was impressed by them, quick passing to get the ball up top but didn’t give enough support to their strikers, was particularly impressed by their 28 and 34, all their bookings were deserved, we should’ve had a couple more I thought. We deserved the win, scum lost, the sun was shining, a happy Saturday was had.

Why? I don't get it. Is your post intentended to take the pi55 out of people who are happy their team won and who are daring to hope things may be getting better? Curious what motivates such a post.

Bruised shins, hugging strangers, you just can't beat a 90th minute winner!

For 90 minutes we looked fairly pedestrian with a lot of the ball but some sloppy passing. It feels most of the chances we present to the other team is a result of our mistakes. Going forward there was no urgency at all which allowed Birmingham to get back into position and nullify our attacks.

Martins has a tendency to over play most attacks and really needs to learn when to get his head up and swing a cross in. Rajovic, was largely anonymous then scored a very good header to get us the three points. Thought TDB and Kone are growing into solid players, amazing what a bit of coaching does. We need to get Asprilla starting games somehow.

How good was it to see Andrews finally get on the score sheet? There may have been a hint of a deflection on his shot but the young lad has deserved it.

Also thought that the atmosphere is improving game by game, seems the fan base are buying into the team.

It’s our sixth consecutive win against against Birmingham at the Vic, and they’ve not scored in any of these games.

Although they started with a goalie and many of the recent memory ones had barely any first team games (Daniel and Grant Cornock).

Ryan Andrews became our first Watford born goalscorer in over 20 years (the previous being whenever Robbo's last goal was).

And no Sean Murray does not count as he was born in Abbots Langley.

Edit: it did occur to me that Gary Fisken existed for a while, but his goal was in 2001, Robbos last goal appears to be in September 2002.
