Not sure if I’m actually looking forward to this or not . It’s Man City so odds are we’ll concede 3 or 4 at least. But it will be interesting to see how we get on with a more attacking approach to the match . Come on u orns!
Under Ranieri we will probably get beaten. I mean how can you compete with a sovereign states wealth ? But unlike previous encounters where the team rolled over and died I hope and think we will see our players get in their faces and stuck in. Rough them up if needs be. Their fans seem to think because they are not the traditional two of recent history Cesspool and Manure they are liked. Truth is all fans outside of the top six detest these clubs and even more after the ESL debacle no matter how their fans were up in arms about it. And as soon as HR Abuses United join the six once they emerge from the Championship that will be seven teams to dislike intensely..
Do you have elaborate nicknames for every team? Seems to change all the time but never the real name used!
Ah, but the term "Bald Fraud" will forever be copyrighted as Smudger's personal tagline for Man City.
Burnsy I dislike them intensely. The top seven that is now that HR Abuses United have joined the club. No problem with the other clubs at all even a little fondness for them and supporting the underdogs. This mob have tilted the playing field so far in one direction it simply is untrue and if they could get away with it tip it even further. From avoiding FFP, cradle snatching, the ESL, moaning about the division of domestic TV rights and their overall patronizing attitude and the countless plastics that hang on their coattails.
He did indeed Forza. And thanks to the tabloid trash never got the acclaim he deserved as a tactician. Pressed high, win the ball as quickly as possible, flood the box and get quality and that does mean quality delivery in there to score goals. Not mindless lumping the ball in to a target man hoping for things to happen. No wonder he had so many skilled wingers. And as is written at the base of the statue it's a game to excite people.
This could be a whole thread on its own. If I wasn't too stupid to know how I might have started it myself. (This is a hint....)
This is a story in itself - the media, not as a conscious conspiracy, but more of a spiteful bunch of sheep. Don't get me going.... But let's not go all political on this beautiful sunny winter's day.
[QUOTE="SkylaRose, post: 3073007, member: 660 @Steve Leo Beleck 's avatar so much on a single thread. . They really should get a swear jar on there, they would make more money than most clubs in a season. Notice a Watford fan did post and he/she more or less called this forum a bunch of *****'s. Not sure if that was one off Moog's aliases - but each to their own I guess.[/QUOTE] IIRC one of the forum members regularly signs up to opposition forums and sucks up.
Can we all just agree on one thing? That no one should be coming on here later and saying such things as 'although we got hammered, I had to admire their football' or 'it's a joy to watch De Bruyne when he plays like that'
Great sentiment from the 1881. Would be great to get the whole crowd doing it, especially as the game is televised the world over. https://twitter.com/the_1881_club/status/1467080449914806275?s=20
Saw this on the Man City forum: “I wonder how much time will be lost to Ben Foster goal kicks. He just takes the piss” Tricky as he won’t be playing ! Probably sums up how much they take notice of teams like us .
You’re right. Best to do it now and get it out of the way. Saves doing it later. Although we got hammered, I had to admire their football. It’s a joy to watch De Bruyne when he plays like that.
Apparently not, as most of their players are fully fit for today, plus their 12th man Mr Friend, who is NO FRIEND of ours As suspected that mid-week injury crises they alledgedly had is now over in time to play us, funny that aint it
Might be back today . https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....of-four-players-set-to-return-against-watford
That just meant he had to put a few kids on the bench . The starting line up was basically their first choice expect for Walker and one of Foden or KDB.
So Pep was moaning about an injury crisis that saw a small handful of players out for 1 week? What a moany scummy ***** he is. Try having a fat Danny Rose covering Injured Masina, your most dangerous forward out for an indefinite period, our 2 'best' centre halves missing and chuck a couple of first team midfielders in the crock pot too. It's not even our worst injury crisis and it makes their injuries look like a paper cut.
Looking forward to a Man City player pulling a Watford player back with no punishment, only for a Watford player to get a yellow for the exact same foul a minute later. I have absolutely no faith in Kevin Friend being impartial for this one, it'll be worse than the Arsenal game.
Yes, he always used to say the higher up the pitch you won the ball back, the more chances you'd have to score. And he was willing to accept the possibility that if a very good team could keep possession under the pressure, we could get a tonking. Not that it happened very often, however.
Am I correct in saying maybe two of their players combined is the value of our entire squad? That just shows how unfair and unbalanced this division is. It's like first class citizens against the third class of the football empire.
As I posted before the midweek games when Pap was whinging about all their missing players: just wait to see them all recover in time for today's match & lo! so it has befallen. For some reason, I think he really dislikes us.
Who was actually injured? Seemed to be pretty much their first team tbh with the odd exception and some rotation.
