Playing an extra man in midfield was key today and replacing Murray with Sarr was one helluvan upgrade.
Be kind to Luton fans - like all of us, they are descended from apes, just in their case it has been a fairly gentle gradient
To be fair, 'on paper'/form, we should have lost this game so really, I'm right anyway. That's how it works isn't it? Nah, seriously, happy to be wrong. I'm usually right about these things over the last 5 years so had to get one wrong eventually. Nice it was today.
Pearson was all about motivation, on the pitch the tactics were quite blunt hoof to Deeney and try to get Sarr, Del, Doucs close to pick up a 2nd ball and make something happen. Ivic, like Zola did, is first and foremost building a footballing philosophy.
You are quite bizarre. It’s been all fantastically good natured from both sides until your appearance. You literally cannot deny that as the evidence is there for all to see. You literally come on spoiling for an argument with your post! It’s odd to claim moral high ground no?
It's said if u give a monkey a laptop, eventually he'll type a quality daily newspaper. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Luton fans.
Always lovely to beat the filth. No doubt we have the quality but I thought they’d get in our faces and not let us settle, which is also why I thought they would win. I never expected them to roll over like that. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a game against them lot where they were so placid. Two of their players taking one leg each to help Pedro with his cramp, their lad cuddling Chalobah as he was going off...for anyone who has seen previous games against them it’s unheard of. I thought we would be the soft ones. The worst they did was toss a ball towards Ngakia and then the lad filled his pants when Deeney arrived. We look much better with Garner in the midfield instead of Quina and Chalobah was also much better today. Sarr has an influence even when he’s not great as teams will sit back and panic when he’s on the ball. He’s clearly nowhere near fit yet. I thought the whole team just looked as though something was beginning to click into place. I’d also predict that somebody is going to take an absolute ******* hiding from us at some point this season. Roll on April, hopefully we will be back in the ground for that one.
F**king ugly Welsh c**t. He'll be off as soon as he gets an offer from another sh*t club to leave that hole. Had your sh*t team on strings for 90 minutes playing in second gear. Mug.
Trust me, she won’t cave easily. I was meant to meet her at 5pm in Soho and I’m only just in a taxi on route now. Long night ahead.
Absolutely f**king thrilled with that. Was very pessimistic before the game, mainly due to the state of the club with the 'will they won't they' player situation. Second best news of the day was the inclusion of Sarr! Keeping him beyond the 16th of October is crucial! Funniest moment of the day, when Deeney barged their c**ty defender in the back and he turned around and sh*t himself when he realised it was TD. Have that you dirty, pi*ey, vermin, caravan-dwelling sh*tc**ts. Levels above and always will be.
Just a joke. Sarrs going to villa Monday so I'm going to try and enjoy this moment when everyone bar watfordtalk get along for 24 hours.
Given the atmosphere, it’s time to accept I too was wrong. I thought we’d win 3-0. We only mustered one. I don’t like how trendy flag waving has come, so I’m switching over to the bedwetters. Only one against these Neanderthals spells trouble. Watford FC OUT.
As a young lad, for the longest time I was convinced the last lines went.... We hate Luton And Youssef Chippo I couldn’t really understand why we hated Coventry’s Moroccan maestro, but I sung it with gusto.
It will be interesting to see if there is as much unity the next time we play badly, or whether the usual crowd start on the "happy clappers", but yes, it was good to see today.
So nice to see some positivity on the forum tonight , it’s been a while. Think there’s a long way to go , but I’m feeling cautiously optimistic about the season ahead. We certainly showed today we had the quality and balls to mix it in the championship. Hopefully more players to come in and bolster the further before deadline day as well
