Yeah, as I say, concerns that are often shared and views similarly held and expressed by others here - I'm just saying that you should at least judge on the basis of the actual player concerned - if Deulofeu came back, it would not be a 'lazy swap' doomed to fail, would it? Similarly, though this has happened before multiple times, and that is very annoying, Samir is clearly a better player than we have by all metrics that we have available.

(On a side note, you're still jumping the gun quite spectacularly to declare at this point that Ngakia will never make it, and that Pollock is never going to play, and to use those as evidence for your inherent credibility. Both those things are possible, as is the converse, but you're not really basing it on any evidence - Pollock in particular)

Agreed on some of your points, but 'spectacularly jumping the gun' is a touch rich.
I am right about Rose and Fletcher. See my pre season notes.
Bachmann will go before the beginning of the 2022/23 season. How we loved watching David James race off his line and clutch thin air at times.
Ngakia is not going to make it, .
Pollock will not make it in the Premier league.
Samir does seem like a good signing. Kamara lost his place to Melvin Bard signed from Lyon. He may do a good job.
Vida just feels like a desperation signing.
Will there be anymore to come?

Yes but it's very clear I'm only saying you're jumping the gun on Ngakia and Pollock, and your response is to restate the exact same jumping again. And again, I'm not even saying it won't end up being the case - just that you cannot possibly be claiming to be making a reasonable evidence-based judgement on them at this point - particularly not Pollock.

I don't doubt you may very well have been right about Rose and Fletcher - as were many of us. The same with Bachmann - I can pinpoint the exact post from the summer in which I explained why I thought we needed an upgrade in goal to function as a USP for us this season.

The trail has gone cold on Vida and, personally, I think it would be nice if it stayed that way and we brought in a better loan prospect - I hope that's what happens. We've done, or are rumoured to have done pretty mixed business so far this window - we're not there yet, in my opinion. But as soon as Samir is confirmed, which appears extremely imminent, we will have one certain upgrade on paper, at least.

The signing of Rose and Fletcher was met with many smirks.
Could Rose still do it? Clearly he is washed up. He would have known this prior to signing his contract. As someone else said on here, you can't blame him for taking the money.
Fletcher was a very odd signing. A poor forward, so what was he ever going to add to our attack?
I was slagged off on here for the criticism of both signings.
As with Bachmann. I also stated last season of his flaws and that it will cause major issues if he plays in goal for us in the Premier league.
As you said, better to bring in a good loan signing than sign Vida.
Let's wait for more transfer news soon.
