Watford have denied reports that Tottenham have had a bid rejected for Ashley Young - but admits there has been interest from elsewhere.
The 21-year-old, an England Under-21 international, has been, along with goalkeeper Ben Foster and midfielder Gavin Mahon, Watford's best players this term.

Boothroyd has denied Spurs had made a bid for Young, but revealed he has turned down other offers for the skilful youngster.

Boothroyd said: "Spurs have not made any bids. I have had bids from other clubs and I have rejected them.

"Ashley is a key part of what we want to do here."

£5 mill and fowler on loan to the end of the season would be a good deal.

Its now saying Charlton and West Ham want him:
Watford's Ashley Young continues to attract suitors and to the list of Arsenal and Liverpool you can now add West Ham and Charlton. (Times)

so as far as we know the following clubs want ash then (what i reckon we would ask for):

Liverpool (£6 mill and Fowler please)
Arsenal ((£5 mill and Brendtner will do)
Spurs (£6.5 and Mido on loan)
West Ham (£6 mill and Carlton Cole for them)
Charlton (Swap for Darren Bent, nothing else)

    Anyone else?

I very much doubht these clubs are, apart from spurs and the hammers, and i very much doubht with our threadbare squad would we sell an attacker without having a replacement lined up.

Perhaps we could sell a club his brother in the academy instead abd claim it is Ash?

Liverpool - Life on the bench?
    Arsenal - Ditto
Spurs - possible but would still be a little fish
West Ham - Hahahahahah a horrible place to be at the moment
    Charlton - Ditto

I don't think Ash is the type to simply warm the bench for a wedge. We are not desperate for cash and I seriously doubt that we could tempt anyone of more quality to replace him. I reckon he'll stay but may be tempted elsewhere and the board may have to sell if we do go down at the end of the year.

Im sure im not wrong when i say that Ash Youngs Parents actually act on his behalf and therefore have his best interests rather than some greedy agent.

I think we'll do alright out of the Ash deal..... but its time for the board to start showing the colour of their money.

If we do not spend significantly in this WINDOW there WILL BE DEMO's (started by moi!)

You are right in believing that. That's why he stays on the straight and narrow.
