Another late goal, another unlucky defeat & still rock bottom.
Is it time to experiment against Blackburn on Tuesday & recreate the flair & style that took us to the Premiership in the first place?
I say I'd rater lose 3-0 having fought & played with style than go down to a goal in the last 5 mins after a good defensive performance.

There's been alot of endings but i'm sure we'll still get the naive fools that will post saying how we only need such and such points from 10 wins. Despite the fact we've won once in the league all season they think we can suddenly come up with some more.
The signings should have been made in August and to be quite honest I BLAME BOOTHROYD FOR OUR RELEGATION.

Thats right, we had no cover for King when he got injured and it resulted in a winger being put up front.... no goals....then waiting til january for a replacement and not being able to attract anyone of enough quality.

Today should have been a very winnable game, as should Blackburn and Wigan.

If we had won them, then there would still have been a faint chance.

    If.

    Oh well.

Agreed! But he's inexperienced and he is allowed to make the mistake once. I say we judge him on where we are in two and a half yrs time, not now.

Pretty much the same thing mate. Yes he is/was at fault for where we are but his inexperience is a pretty big disclaimer. Lets face it, if we'd have lost in the play off final but were 2nd in the Championship right now there'd be no fuss with Aidy.

True, with increased success comes increased expectation. Had we lost in May and were doing well in the Championship, there would be no problems as you say. As soon as we got promoted and Aidy spurted out the word EUROPE, some people start getting deluded.

Am i missing something? This is a dream playing against the worlds best players. We go up, we go down, we go up again. Is this a wooshie kind of thing that I've missed or are you honestly saying you wish we hadn't gone up? I am loving it even though we're were we are.

For me it ended after the Fulham debacle at Vicarage Road! If we'd have won that then I'm sure we would have gone from strength to strength!

The writing has been on the wall for some time now, that we are not only going down, but going down bottom, with an embarassing points total. The focus now has to be on building a side capable of winning the Championship, which will be far from easy. For once we will have money to spend, but I am not convinced that that will be spent wisely. There is not a single area of the team which does not need improving on. Much of the dead wood needs cutting out too, as many of the players who have got us promotion hI have simply not shown that they can advance any further with the club.
I honestly cannot see where our next win will come from.

    Agreed, sadly :(

Although I think we have pretty much the squad to get us top 6 next season!

Players we desperatley need in the summer:

    Keeper
    Left back
    Centre back
    Right midfield
    Centre midfield
    Striker

I agree with that, apart from we may need duplicates in some of those positions.

no need for a striker, king and hendo are good in the championship, as would be hoskins and ashikodi.
but until then we need to focus on survival. theres no pointin talking about the championship now.

Why isn't there? That's where we are going so we may aswell look at building a squad for it!!!!

I wouldn't pin your hopes on King being here in the summer for various reasons! I can't see him being here next season!

Don't worry the way some so called fans will be going he will walk away and we will back to fighting relegation battles in the Championship....sure those who write to the Watford Observer will be very happy then!

Ofcourse we should have got more players in August but please I do want to read that Boothroyd is a disater and a disgrace.

If that is the attitude/respect certain fans give to a man who did take us up on nothing then fine but they do not deserve success.
