I expect it's not true, but wouldn't be overly surprised. The 'model' seems to be that if a better value for money player is available they'll go for it, regardless of anything else. Certainly we may have enquired, even if we were immediately put off by wage demands.

Would be a very positive signing. Bags of experience, won multiple trophies with the possibility of teaching the youngsters in the future. Perhaps he could get his badges here. Could also be made captain.

As for Gomes, he's not cut out for the PL I'm afraid.

 

I might head down to Loftus Rd this season for the game against Sheffield Wed so I can see my favourite Watford players play.
