I really don't mind my team losing if I can see that they have worked hard, done thier best and overall I can see the team making progress. However with Val I am so cheesed off with the excuses. I have made a bit of a list. So here goes. Too much travelling, Too many games, a tough schedule, the players are tired, as the players get fit our strength will show through, terrible pitch, windy, raining, too much travelling, confidence, afraid to shoot, thinking too much, not thinking, lack of discipline, having to fine players, players late, senior leadership group not working, players not taking responsibility, injuries, three strikers having to score the goals that one decent striker would score, bad refereeing decisions, small squad, players not following instructions, mentality, having to play saturday and Tuesday, mental blocks, physical blocks, young players, players learning, players not learning, players need a rest, I could go on has anyone get any more I am sure I have missed loads.
Hold on, are you suggesting we should not give Val a break? EDIT: Damn it @a19tgg just beat me to it!
Well I must admit for any manager when the players don't do what they are told it must be a tad annoying I dont feel ready to give Val a break
It might be possible to argue whether Val is an adequate coach or not, however it is abundantly clear he is a poor Manager. The players absorb all the excuses he `trots out` each week and convince themselves that they are disadvantaged - hardly the most effective method of motivation.
