We must be a bit wary just because a fee has been agreed does not mean its a sealed transfer. John and the Rotherham lads are wearing a Watford shirt in some photo shot I will not say we have got them for certain....remember West Brom though they had Shittu. Afterall personal terms could be a problem in John's case and other factors like our league position. Expect the Williamson/Will Hoskins deals to go through no problems!
The Rotherham deal is apparently done, CJ not looking good, Aidy needs to do some work to convince him.
In fact, Skysports news website have added a bit to the CJ story which reads: Charlton are also believed to be a potential suitor for John as new boss Alan Pardew looks to construct a team capable of avoiding the drop. So you're right. Even if they have accepted our bid - it doesn't mean he'll sign on for us.
They can have CJ. I dont rate the guy could be more trouble than he is worth. I would prefer Billy Sharp shooter. ;D
Thing I can't work out is why would Aidy so openly persue a player for 6 months if at the end of it he had no interest in joining us? It just doesn't seem like Aidy's style - though of course it could just be his confidence shining through.
I believe there has not been a lot of interest around CJ pre window, us aside. Aidy as we all know does his homework, so CJ must have made the right noises. but if others now suddenly express an interest it changes things.
The Rotherham mad site is saying thanks for the memories and best of luck in your new careers at watford. lets hope thats not tempting fate!
Agreed mate. If he gets a sniff of other clubs being interested he might simply use the Watford bid as a vehicle to secure a move elsewhere. I think tomorrow will be the key day and then if we hear nothing to see if he's in the squad for Fulham on Saturday. They're quoting the Rotherham chairman on this one, I'd say it was a done deal.
