Apparently the defender want to move according to the article but just on loan? This would be a class signing. For that reason, I give it a probability rating of zero.
Merging with the original thread from December 2019... in which we were quoted at wanting him for €20m... Can't see this one happening.
I'm more surprised it makes that much of a difference to be honest. I never played at a high level in football, but I was a right footed left back who played for fun and could use my left foot to cross, shoot and pass fairly well. I'm a bit shocked that professional players struggle to use their weaker foot so much
I once played at a high level. In Mexico City. Not much oxygen up there. (Reader: I did not actually do this, it's a bad joke)
Probably two mitigating factors there. Firstly, you might be more ambi...footrous? than the average person. I'm left footed/handed, but my right hand/foot is bloody useless for anything remotely requiring coordination, despite my attempts to rectify that. Secondly, you played at a much lower level, so the opposition were likely far less able to punish you for using your weaker foot. I think the reality is that one you get to elite levels, you don't get away with things that you would at a lower level. A pass being of lower quality due to being made with a weaker foot might not get intercepted or blocked when the opposition are less able, but do it against professional grade players and they'll punish you for it. The margins for error are far finer.
I agree with your probability rating. Sent the article on to a Spanish work colleague, It seems that Nunez doesn't want to renew his contract with Bilboa. It references that we had a loan bid rejected last year but apparently doesn't mention anything about this season.
I’m not even sure it’s an accurate ‘rumour’. I think in translation, as said above, it’s just an article saying the player wants to leave and it then refers to our failed attempt last season. I don’t think it’s a fresh attempt at all.
Well Gino did say he would learn from his mistakes....... Somehow I think he won't and try using this defence if we do go up with a cheap addition here and there. A recipe for relegation once again.
Cats are mainly south paws I've noticed but are also 'ambi pawdrous' so to speak. Ford and Arthur are willing to play the left pawed cb role for an enormous packet of Dreamies and a nice long sleep.
