Ok, bit of a weird one this, more of the mummies were going to be revealed but the ministry of culture turned up wanting the mummies. No idea if this was staged or not but why would authorites want something that was fake?

Very strange. So im guessing if they are real artifacts they are either representations of something, maybe Gods? Or they are actually mummified beings of some kind of species we know nothing about. I dont see why the Peruvian Ministry of Culture would want fakes.

2 questions to anyone who believes in UFOs and ancient alien claptrap. How do alien civilizations observe us?, and how do they get here given the distances involved?. Depending on what source you read, there may be 200 billion to 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe, and each may contain ~100 billion stars with who knows how many planets, so it's quite possible there are civilisations out there more advanced than ours but they are still bound by the same laws of physics.
Information passes via the electromagnetic force and can't go faster than the speed of light. No civilisation is sending beings over thousands or more light years to a tiny planet they can't detect anyway. It's not about the little green men that make the journey, it's about the civilisation sending them wanting to discover something. Send a spaceship that goes 10% the speed of light and then wait hundreds of thousands of years to see if it made contact? While developing a new ship that will go 20% the speed of light and overtake the first one within a few hundred years making it obsolete?
    It's all cobblers.

I still don't really understand how Australians aren't living upside down. No matter how large a sphere is, surely there has to be a top and a bottom. True story.
Makes much more sense to me that the earth really is flat or just slightly curved as I've been to Aus and they certainly aren't living upside down.
Physics was always my weakest subject at school.

Beatriz Villarroel a Swedish Astronomy Has got some very interesting views on Vanishing & Appearing Sources during a Century of Observations.
As to say it's cobblers is harsh. The United States navy pilots just want to understand what they have witnessed over and over again. That's not too much to ask for the sake of all air travel.

Their technology could be so far more advanced than ours, that they might be able travel at speeds unimaginable to us.

Therefore your assertion that it is all "Cobblers", could be all "Cobblers" in itself!!!

They may have technology in advance of ours, but are still constrained by the same laws of physics. Photons travel at light speed because they are massless. Anything with mass can't get anywhere near that speed.

Carl Sagan said extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

All this UFO stuff reported, and billions of mobile phones where people can immediately upload to social media, and no-one has yet provided incontrovertible evidence or there would be no argument.

I think that this is where Occam's razor comes in to play.

Is it more likely that "aliens" have travelled unimaginable distances that would require the fundamental laws of physics to be breached, just to observe us (and occasionally abduct a few people for probing).

Or could it be that people are experiencing dreams or illusions that they are confusing with reality. People can even experience mass hysteria where the power of suggestion can produce a shared "experience" that never really happened.

There is still a lot of unknowns when it comes to nature. A lot of these sightings are far more likely to be some natural phenomenon rather than some shy alien who is occasionally spotted despite it's attempts to remain hidden (even though they must have travelled thousands of lightyears to get here!).

I would love it if an intelligent life form made contact with us but it's just vanishingly unlikely that they would make it to us, let alone play hide and seek with us once they got here imho.

I'm still sceptical that man got to the moon and back on one tank of gas
let alone a spaceship travelling billions of light years on one tank .
Maybe it has happened and maybe that technology is being suppressed for obvious
    reasons .

Can someone more intelligent than myself explain a question I have and in a manner that even I can understand.

So, the Earth is spinning , why does the journey time to Majorca take exactly the same time regardless if you fly with or against the spin ?.

We base all our knowledge using the science we know, which is probably quite basic and more than likely wrong. I imagine in thousands of years time people will look back on our science and understanding of the universe and laugh.

If there's an advanced alien species out there that can travel to our little planet, they probably had a look and considered us to be too be to primitive to interact with or if you're a star trek nerd, maybe they have a prime directive.

It's pretty sad that in most of our lifetimes the most exciting thing to happen is that maybe we'll get someone onto Mars in the next 50 years.

I said I didnt know what is going on but something is going on, I never mentioned aliens.

Theres a bunch of people with the right access saying things and the US government having secret programs to investigate UAP and USO's yet deny they exist.

If the whole thing is bs why are the whistleblowers saying these things and if they are all crackpots then how did they all get into positions of power?

If these things are real, what is their intent, where did they come from, how long have they been here?

Why are they mostly interested in nuclear hotspots around the world?

Far too many questions just to dismiss it all with a meme.

It's the same reason why, when you jump up in the air, you land on the same spot. Or if you throw a ball to someone sitting on the opposite side of a train that you are traveling on at 100mph the ball will go straight. You, the ball and the catcher are all going at the same speed as the train so are not moving relative to eachother.

We, the plane, and everything else (including the atmosphere) on Earth are going around the Earth at same the speed as the Earth is rotating. You may not feel like you are moving, and relatively to the Earth you're not, but you are actually traveling at about 1600kph as you stand still.

It doesn't matter whether you are traveling "with or against" the Earth's rotation, what you feel and experience is the relative difference between your speed and the Earth's rotation as it moves under your feet/wheels/wings.

Again, it's like walking up and down a fast moving train. You don't go quicker whichever way you are going through the carriage.

No mass can travel anywhere near the speed of light. It would take an infinite amount of energy to do so. The science is absolutely clear on that.

What I would concede is that other ways of travelling vast distances, such as wormholes, may be possible.

I would still argue that Occam's Razor would suggest that the more obvious explanation is that people are experiencing something other than alien visitations.

Until there is some actual physical evidence that aliens have visited, or are visiting, us then I'm going to have to remain a reluctant skeptic.

Was the Big Bang a thing which happened as an isolated event and was the start of 'everything', or had other Big Bangs already happened in other moments of time or what we perceive as space? Or, put another way, are we an 'extension universe' somewhere, somehow connected to an already existing time and space?

It would still require travelling distances which we see as impossible, but could there be lifeforms already colonising planets in such a way their technology would still be developing as they reach further from their origin planet? This would negate the need to start any exploration from the same point every time and shortening the distance between planet hops with ever advancing technology.

Being observed and earth being visited can be two different things. Is it possible alien satellites have been seen rather than alien craft? We send unmanned machines into space with images, sounds and data relayed back and interpreted. That seems more feasible if still unlikely than inhabited craft looking at us through space goggles from 30,000 feet.

    and finally...

Even if wormholes exist, the problem for a Type 1 civilisation (one that has harnessed the power of an entire galaxy) would be to create them at will, and dictate where the other end is.
There is nothing to say that matter could survive passing through one, and theorists say that they would requite negative energy in large amounts to create, and negative energy is scarce.
None of this explains how a civilisation could choose Earth from one of billions of planets in a galaxy that is one of billions in the universe.
Again, how do they even detect us over such vast distances?
If they could open a wormhole to Earth, it's reasonable to assume that the larger the wormhole, and the longer it needs to stay open, the more energy/negative energy you would need.
So why send a spaceship through when you could create a small one and send a probe through to detect the atmosphere and terrain?
Light travels through the electromagnetic field and planets don't radiate much. Planets are detected by the effect they have on the brightness of their host star.
Before assuming that they've been, ask how they even knew we existed.

Einstein predicted a faster than light engine.

University of Alabama in Huntsville has taken the Lewis and Cuddihy paper one step farther. The team has constructed a warp drive design with no need for exotic matter. Uses old and new forms of gravity, to generate a warp bubble which enables motion faster than the speed of light in a way that does not violate known physics.

This was taken from an article I read yesterday which is very interesting.
