so what you saying is that Pearson set it up as Coach and then Raneiri took them to the title. Be a shame if we had Pearson and then Raneiri as coach in that order then.

he has pedigree and is clearly an actual coach. This is good

Won a nice bit on Munoz being first Premier coach/boss sacking. May have a flutter on Ranieri being the next.

Why not - Bruce ain't going anywhere, it'll cost Ashley £9m to sack him apparently

Ranieri took charge of every Leicester game during their title winning season yet it was all down to Pearson.

I always chuckle when that nonsensical story crops up.

Ranieri inherited a good thing at Leicester and let it play out. He doesn’t have a great track record in building sides from scratch.

You can’t fluke a PL title over 38 games, it’s just not possible. He had some luck with the usual suspects having a mare simultaneously and Spurs being Spurs, but you just can’t possibly accumulate that many points from what the previous manager did.

What's the most managers sacked in a season by a single Premier league club? Ranieri will be out of the door by bonfire night

Any idea who he’s backroom staff will be?
I would like someone like Eddie Newton to come and support.

Yes, I can fully believe that Ranieri just 'let it play out' for 38 games while Leicester comfortably won the Premier League.

Well, I beg to differ. There’s a Leicester fan who posts on this forum. I’d be interested on his take on this, but everyone I spoke to of a Leicester persuasion credits Pearson for the foundations and Ranieri kept it ticking over.

But they can credit Pearson all they want, it doesn’t make it true does it, because it’s not humanly possible to fluke a premier league title. Not to mention when Pearson rocked up here he turned out to be a limited Pashun merchant who picked the same old players and ultimately oversaw some disastrous results post lockdown.

Did well till Feb time then COVID struck and he /the club weren’t focused on the job in hand after the re start .

Even if a lot of Leicester fans think this is the case , they can’t possibly know what went on on the Leicester training ground , or what would have happened if Pearson had stayed in charge .

We all know football supporters like to think they know what’s going on based on Twitter rumours and speculation but it doesn’t make it true .

Well he changed the formula the following season and it went dramatically wrong. They went from winning the league to relegation favourites because he tinkered. Players were in revolt at the time and forced him out. Quite a major turnaround of events.

Pretty sure it’s us with three in 2019/20. Swansea and Newcastle had a lot of managers in a couple of seasons but at least one of them resigned or stepped aside.

We are very sniffy as a fan base about any new signings whether they be coaches or players

Been a coach since 1986 !! and during that time been amongst others coach at Valencia, Napoli, Roma , Juventus, Athletico Madrid, Greece, Leicester City, Chelsea, Monaco

A decent pedigree I would suggest

I agree. It’s all well and good saying Pearson built the foundations, after delivering 25 very poor games, Leicester got it together and avoided relegation. But Ranieri came in without a full pre season, and had the good sense to build on what was there. If he is a good manager he makes them comfortable, but he did more than that.

It’s like saying it was all Craig Shakespeares work that won the title. Bonkers analysis.

let’s hope Ranieri and Gino can work together to deliver survival this year. If he manages that and gets a second season then we can judge how good or bad he is. I am hoping he becomes Watfords Roy Hodgson, an old head that steadies the ship and builds a foundation for someone to build on.

I think what you’re forgetting is how well Pearson set up Mullins and Ivic, for the wonderful title winning football that followed.

Michelin Man will be making an appearance then. :D Likely to bring Andrea Azzalin and Paolo Benetti with him. I hope Gino has taken out a new loan to cover the costs of all the staff being paid off.

The best appointment we could have made I think, an experienced hand to steady the ship. Probably a keep us up and get another year deal going on.

Is this 100% confirmed by the club? If so then excellent. Out of all the ones we could have gotten from that 'out of work pool' we caught a 15pd Carp.
