The disgusting anti-Semitic campaign propagated against Dan Ozarow by Hertsmere Conservatives (many of them, ahem, neither Christian nor Muslim) has finally broken into the MS press (TBF it's been featured by Private Eye's 'Rotten Boroughs' through the years): Here's the Guardian's take on it. Here's the Independent's report on it. Here's the Jewish News's coverage of it. It's also got international coverage by France's News 24. And the front page of the Borehamwood Times: TBF to the B'wood Times it has reported on the events that led to this.
More fun & political games in the 'Wood as borough councillor Michele Vince is up before the beak today (in Cambridgeshire?) for a public order offence: One of her supporters, who is running a Go Fund Me page for Vince's legal costs, posted this about the alleged event: Now Vince is "very much of the 'Wood" and is very active in FOI requests to the council she's a part of - most notably Hertmere's 'solution' to urgent temporary shirt-term accommodation for its residents (which could be uncharitably described by a layman as £2.5M's worth of 'containers') and the very opaque goings-on concerning renovations/repairs/up keep of a council owned farm in Tyttenhanger.
Is the Barley Mow still open at Tyttenhanger? I recall that if you could drink your way around the pumps (including Dogbolter) you didn't have to pay.
Mmmm Dogbolter. Used to have the rugby shirt. Mistakenly started a pub crawl with that once. didn't get too far.
Bushey Heath councillor Paul Morris quits Conservative party Showing what a true martyr Councillor Morris truly is: So Councillor Morris is leaving the Tory Party but keeping his council seat and sitting as an "Independent" Tory. Interesting that he mentions the totally fictitious 'newspaper' Hertsmere Times (it's actually a publication advertising the properties available at a local estate agents) - which has been really going to town on, Labour councillor, Michelle Vince:
Dunno that Mr Morris isn't spouting a stream of anti-Semitic hate. Meanwhile this has just [carefully_chosen_verb]plopped[/carefully_chosen_verb] on my doormat - a missive from the local Tories highlighting how much good work Cllr Morris "Piss Ups with the Stars on Exes" Bright and MP Oliver "....says there is genuine debate over whether "we need" public service broadcasters such as the BBC and Channel 4" Dowden (a copy of his most recent think [sic.] piece on the Beeb for the Time is actually on the gov.uk webs(h)ite):
Are you trying to steal the bread from his children's mouths? FFS it only works out at as £700 p/h... Dowden paid £8,398 fee by firm of Kwarteng mini-budget party host
From this week's Private Eye: What I find hard to believe is that the Eye's normally accurate 'Rotten Boroughs' failed to point out that the Tories behind the anti-Semitic abuse levelled at Dr Ozarow were all Jewish.
