We have 1 space left in the squad, but assuming we sign 2/3 who will we be able to move on? Gosling clearly isn’t a part of our plans but who would want him and his wages? Fletcher has been around the matchday squads with recent injuries so would we want to replace a forward with a defender? Could we end Tufan’s loan early? Do we just accept that Kabasele will never be fit (and isn’t that good anyway) so cut him from the 25?
Etebo could be left out if he is out for the season... maybe even Sarr too depending on how bad his injury is.
Surely the obvious one to cut loose is William. I’d rather have Gosling play centre half if push came to shove
Obviously don't know about Sarr, but that was never the chat about Etebo, and frankly if they did start/have started thinking that then his place would need to be filled directly. As long as there's space for Morris, there's no need to panic.
Wasn't the chat that he was out for 5-6 months? As long as the club aren't bluffing/aren't cocking up his recovery, he should be injury-free (if certainly not properly fit) by about March
Is there a chance that's because he's asked to do different things at Liverpool? Would he be suited to a more, ahem, rudimentary team like us? (Not suggesting we sign him for 7 figures mind you, there must be plenty of better value elsewhere!)

Well obviously I’m not suggesting we sign him on any kind of deal where we match what he’s currently on. But worth remembering that Sissoko was on £110k at Spurs. But I am highly aware Digne would likely find someone willing to pay him at least what he’s already on. I would be enquiring though as you don’t get charged for that…
Anyone who's ever played Football Manager will know that you can have a clause in the deal where the selling club can continue paying at least a portion of the departing player's wages! (Not suggesting we will sign Digne, £120k is mad, Everton aren't Tottenham and Sissoko is a few years older)
That said, if we struggle to attract a FB of any kind of quality, if I were Gino, I'd push to the boat out and pay Digne's wages in full for half a season. I'd rather we spend a few million doing that than spending £3m on some dross who will never be good enough.
It would be brilliant to get someone of his quality in on loan for 6 months but reckon he'd have more attractive offers..
Watched a fair bit of Swedish football this season and there are some really stand out players in that league. Anel Ahmedhodži* CB from Malmo looks the business. I believe he was at Forest as a youngster. Does tend to dive in a little but at only 22 he can learn to curb these types of challenges. The other is a tiny Nigerian winger Akinkunmi Amoo. He is just a joy to watch. Only 19 and has incredible strength. This young man is going to be a real star one day. Stupidly saying a problem is that he stays on his feet after some really desperate clumsy challenges where he could of picked up penalties and free kicks. Imo this is a good thing. Both well worth keeping an eye on. In Norway you have Patrik Berg of Bodo who is a great holding midfielder. Plus one my son keeps telling me about is Hove from Stromsgodset. A real Tom Cleverley type player. Amazing engine on him and plays Ranieris pressing game beautifully. His big let down is his final ball though or decision making in the final third. All very much in our cheap as chips price range too
Patrick Perg is going to Lens isn't he? Ahmedozdzix and Amoo indeed do look quality. Not sure we'd be able to get WP's for them however if there was interest.
I've seen interest from Celtic but not Lens tbh. Ahmedozdzix is a current international with Bosnia around 10 caps. He was in the Youth system at Forest so surely he'd be ok. Amoo would be a problem. Get him into Udinese then on to us.
I signed Ahmedhodzic on FM, according to the game's database, he's homegrown, which is an added bonus!
Even if he were not talking to Lens, I doubt he would want to come to us after he has seen what has happened to his old team mate Zinckernagel.
Ahmedhodži* will have suitors much bigger than us I feel, probably one of the hottest young CB talents on the planet at the moment!
No way we even know he exists then, Hot young CB talent isn’t in Gino’s lexicon, there is no such thing according to him.
