Not really. Was just told it’s a deal we have had lined up for weeks and can pull the trigger at any point but club aren’t sure. Whether it’s dependant on other targets or whatever or the club being happy with current options, no idea.
Ok thanks. I just got an SMS from a Bournemouth fan i know and he's said about the possibility of swapping Cook for Quina surely he's on a windup?
No idea but you’d think so. We probably asked and got short shrift! Think we are done in midfield now personally.
You would have thought there is adequate depth at CB, just a lack of actual starting quality. Improving on WTE and Sierralta is presumably too costly so can't really see anything being done. RB has to be priority. If Xisco is not happy with Ngakia, as he has shown over the last few months, we cannot be relying on Kiko and Cathcart as our two RBs.
Brighton signing Abdallah Sima from Sparta Prague. Great signing for them - they seem to do increasingly astute business down there.
Yeah they do, although they have had some expensive mistakes like Maupay, Andone, Jahanbaksh. Suspect it helps attract players that like Palace they pay massive wages.
10 goals and 8 goals a season doesn't look totally awful on paper but it doesn't really tell the full story. For £20m and the significant wages he is on, he has been missing an awful lot of chances and there is a reason replacing him has been the club's priority this window.
looks like Jaime Alvarado has gone on loan to Racing Club Ferrol (Not that anyone was expecting his to stay)
WTE at least won't be heading to a red list country so he'll be OK to play against Wolves, unfortunately Sierralta won't be
Wait, there's a chance he won't be. It seems that Nigeria have called up players to cover for UK based players who may not be able to play Cape Verde. Who decides then, Watford or WTE? He's captain of Nigeria I think.
Seeing as some of the South Americans have been allowed to go to play for their countries (including, it seems, Sierralta), I guess the players with the permission of their clubs. WTE is only occasional captain of Nigeria, but I don't know how crucial he is to them, I don't know if he is so important that they can't do without him
