Thought I'd type this out for people who can't get the WO and are interested in what Bassini had to say about transfers.

"Watford are looking to make seven permanent signings this summer and Laurence Bassini has said he does not any more players to leave.

Bassini said: "We are looking to sign another five players on permanent contracts - a couple of midfielders, a couple of strikers and a left back - so that is seven players we want to sign in total.

"We will also look at loan players on top of that but we want to make seven signings.

"The market is really active around August and September time so while we will try to do as much business as possible before that, it will be around that time when it becomes really active.

"I have left that to Sean and Ross - the pair of them have been excellent."

Watford have seen three first team regulars leave this summer and Bassini confirmed he doesn't want to see any more depart.

"I don't want any more players to go so hopefully there won't be any more leaving." Bassini said.

"If someone comes in with a big offer then fine but I don't want to see any more players go."

He also said he never wanted to sell Will Buckley but certain people at the club wanted him to be sold because he only started six games in 2011. But he believes he was sold at a good price and it means we can purchase other players with that £1m.

Adding on to that he also revealed that the club made £1.5m more from the sale of Danny Graham than they might have received. There was a clause in his contract where he would have gone for anything over £2m but Bassini argued with that because he didn't like the way the clause was and then obviously managed to get £3.5m for him.

The certain person that wanted to sell Buckley is now at Cardiff. He was on his way after Will called him a cant to his face. Turns out Young Will had a point
