Too tough for you lot

Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell.
No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape. They then decide to tunnel out.
However, they give up with the tunneling because it will take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan?

 

is it to tatoo the blueprints of the prison onto his body and then over the course of 20 odd episodes, do something risky?

I'll not hear a bad word about prison break. It's tremendous, the best series on TV by a long way.

 

They use whatever instrument they used to tunnel to put through the window.

 

Pile what the dug out when tunnelling onto the bed then one can stand on the other' shoulders and climb out.

Or they can shout for the Guard and clobber him with the shovel.

this is all without the prison officers noticing tunneling through brick walls and moving earthto form a 12ft+ ramp by the way
