Checking his thread on the Derby forum there were a couple claiming that he played better for them this season when more central.
Not that I saw he much but he looked to play very centrally. I still reckon Lazar Samardži* will be the one coming in as AM.
I wouldn't turn my nose up at Lazar Samardžic, he seems a talented young player with bags of potential. He was really well thought of Germany and had plenty of admirers from so called big clubs. Still only 20 years old.

Agreed. Would be happy with all 3 though would probably want Benkovic in alongside another CB who had played some football in the last however many years. Got to wonder if Soppy or Ebosele could be options at RWB too.
I didn't realise they had signed Benkovic, he looked alright at Celtic but then he got injured and I never heard anything else about him. Never seen Sandi Lovric play. I actually want us to sign Samardžic.

Where are they gonna fit him, Swift and Wallace? Seems they're desperate to gobble up all the free transfer attacking midfielders. If we wanted a player like him we should have gone for Swift instead ourselves.
Even more so when the manager they have isn't exactly known for his attacking style of set up and tactics!
True. If we start the season with the current squad (we obviously won't) the midfield is woefully lacking in energy and goal threat, even at this level. Hopefully the rumours about them looking to strengthen in this position are true.
